This gorgeous girl’s name is Breezy.

Her owner came to me and explained how Breezy struggles with anxiety and is fearful of new people.

When I first arrived, Breezy was trying to scare me away by barking at me through the screen door. She wouldn’t let me come near the house without trying to scare off.

By using some high value beef liver treats, and lots of patience, slowly Breezy allowed me to feed her treats from my hand, walk her on the leash, and eventually give her lots of pets.

Sometimes what may appear to be an aggressive dog, is really just a fearful dog. It is important as a dog groomer to learn to properly interpret canine body language.

After about 30 minutes of treats and love- Breezy jumped in the bath tub with no problem. Though notably she did attempt to escape multiple times once she reality set in.

After a light trim, deep conditioning, and deshedding treatment, this pretty girl was feeling like a brand new dog 💖✨

Can’t wait to see you next time Breezy.

Everyone meet Charley!

Charley here struggles with focal seizures- primarily in the grooming salon and at the vet.

In the past, he has been most comfortable at home being groomed. This handsome boy came into the shop I work at and had a seizure walking in the door!

He was then referred to me. For a dog that started out incredibly shy, we quickly became best friends. After making peace with Charley, I was able to remove all of the matting.

After the groom, you could just see the sparkle back in his eyes. This ol’ senior felt like a puppy again.

I look forward to grooming Charley again in the future 💖🩵💜

This sweetheart is 13 years old but with her new haircut comes a new attitude - 13 in age but 2 years old at heart🚀✨

Like majority of my senior clients, this baby is beginning to lose her vision. Meaning the grooming process can start becoming scary with all the loud noises and tools.

As always, I made sure to take things super slow, and gave lots of cuddles. This pup found solace and distraction in giving me lots of kisses.

The final product may not be perfect, but for our beloved furry seniors, comfort is priority over vanity.

After some time and patience, I was able to remove all the matting and give her skin some fresh air.
