Little Toast is HOME! 🥰

Toast was originally found living all alone in a warehouse and our friends reached out to see if we could take her in. And do you think we could say no to that face?! 😍

After hanging with us for a while, this scruffy little lady met the family she'd been waiting patiently for, and we are so thrilled for her!! She now has her whole life ahead of her with nothing but LOVE to look forward to 🥹

Meet Noodles 🍜

Another adorable new girl that joined us last Monday, and surprise surprise, we already LOVE her! 🥰

We think Noodles is around 2 years old, and so far she's done well living with several other smaller dogs. We don't really know why she ended up without a family, but we sure do intend to change that! Who could resist that little Puggy smile?!

Noodles already has her spay date on our calendar, so once that's done she should be ready to join her new home. Follow along to be notified when adoption apps open up for her! 💘

🌟APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED🌟

Adoption apps are now officially open for the Friends litter 🥰

These six sweet Pug/Pom babies were an accidental litter that we welcomed into our care at just a week old. Thankfully the family was willing to also surrender over the Mom, as well as two adult males, (one of them the suspected Dad to these guys). We have already found loving homes for the males (Harry & Lloyd!) and now it's time to find loving homes for the puppies. Their Mama Janice will also be looking for a forever home once the babies are fully weaned and she gets spayed. 🙏🏼

Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Joey, Monica, and Chandler are all wonderfully sweet and curious little puppies, each coming into their own personalities more and more since joining their foster 🫶🏼 They should all grow up to be just as friendly & social as their Mama Janice is, with the love and guidance of their committed families.

⭐️ These guys will be ready to leave with their families the weekend of 6/20. Please only apply to adopt if you're able to welcome them home at that time.

Good morning from Bambi 💖

This sweet young lady is probably only around 9-10 months old. She found herself without a home, but hopefully she'll have a forever family in no time!

Bambi is currently bunking with several small dogs and gets along well. She needs to be spayed still, so we will be getting that scheduled, and then she'll be ready to meet a family of her own. Apps will open up soon for sweet Bambi, so follow along for updates if you're interested in adding this little lady to your fam! We're really enjoying getting to know her 💘

Meet Smidge 🥹

This teeny tiny lady is another one of our newest rescue dogs, and we are all IN LOVE with her 😭 She's 3 lbs of pure sweetness, and we just want to carry her around in our pockets everywhere we go 🥲

Smidge is about 10 years old, and was surrendered by her previous owner who could no longer provide care for her. She just visited our vet and it was determined that she'll definitely be needing a dental, as pretty much all of her teeth are extremely loose 😣 We're so happy she's here now so that we (with your help, of course!) can provide her with the care she's needed for a long time.

Adoption apps are not open for Smidge just yet, but they will be soon, so keep an eye on our posts/stories to be notified when they are if you're interested in adding this little doll to your family! 💘

Meet Todd 😍

This young scruffy boy is around a year old, and for some no good reason found himself without a family 😔 Thankfully he wound up on our radar, and now he's here stealing all of our hearts!

Todd is an affectionate little guy, who enjoys spending quality time with his human pals. He's currently rooming with a smaller female dog and is doing well, so we think Todd could happily join a home with another friendly pup. He would likely do well in a home with older kids 10+, who can be respectful of his small size.

Todd will need to be neutered still before joining his forever home, but other than that he's all set to meet the family of his dreams. You can find adoption apps for Todd by visiting our website and clicking the adoptable dogs page ❤️

We sure hope you all haven't forgotten about this sweet ol' girl 🥹

It's Birdie! 😍 and she's officially been adopted into her forever family 🥳❤️

Birdie joined us all the way back in December of last year, after we sprang her from a nearby county shelter. She hung with us for a couple months with no adoption interest, until one day a lovely couple applied to bring her home. She left us late February to start her foster to adopt trial, which we ended up extending longer than usual to really give her a chance to settle in. Birdie got along wonderfully with the other dog in the home, who's now her new forever brother, but she was having some unexplained anxiety that we all wanted to investigate a bit further. We are so grateful to Birdie's new family for giving her the patience and love that she needed, and we're thrilled to announce that they've officially made her a part of their family 🥰

Birdie is SO loved, and will be for the rest of her golden years! 😭💘 please join us in sending her all of our love and congratulations on finding her happily ever after! ✨

❤️🐶 SAVE THE DATE! 🐶❤️

Our 4th annual Market for Mutts is happening 🌟Saturday, July 18th 🌟and we couldn't be more excited to hang with you all again! If you're free that day, please come on down and join us for a day of fun, supporting small businesses, and celebrating another year of rescuing pups together. 🥹❤️

This year’s event will feature an awesome lineup of vintage vendors and artisan makers offering beautiful handmade jewelry, pottery, and clothing! We'll also have a face painter set up, lovely houseplants and locally grown florals, as well as a trio of rad tattoo artists with pup-themed flash! And of course as always there will be NWDP swag, a killer auction/raffle, live music, a doggy snow cone machine & pool, and delicious food and drinks from our friends at 🎶🍻

We’re SO excited to gather with our community of rescue lovers and raise some much needed funds for our NWDP dogs, and hopefully see some of our beloved there! 😍

🐶 As always, this is a dog-friendly event! If your pup enjoys being around other dogs and people, and doesn’t mind a busy environment, bring them along so we can say hi! 🐾

Meet Clementine 🍊

This beautiful young Border Collie mix (best guess) found herself alone in a rural shelter, and nobody ever came to get her 🥺 But now she's a NWDP girl, and we have a feeling there's a real special family out there just waiting for her!

Clementine was just spayed on Tuesday, and we have now opened up adoption apps for her. Since she's been here with us we've learned that she's incredibly sweet, and smart! She seems to love all people she's met so far, and she'd thrive in either a home with another mature male dog, or she'd be happy as an only dog, too. She's going to be looking for a home that will offer her daily outlets for her physical and mental energy, so that she can grow into a well rounded & fulfilled adult dog 🥰

Meet the Critter Litter! 🦊🐿️🦡🦉🐇

These five puppies were sadly found as strays surviving alongside their Mama. They ended up spending over a month in the shelter with no adoption interest before we stepped in to give them a safe place to land. Now they’re finally getting the chance to experience love, comfort, and all the good things puppyhood should be about!

While we don’t know exactly what breed mix they are, their Mom appears to be some sort of larger Chihuahua mix, (she's around 18 lbs) although at just 3 months old, the puppies are already bigger than she is! 🫣 We expect them to grow into medium sized dogs, likely somewhere in the 30–50 pound range full grown. Each puppy is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and absolutely adorable. If you swipe to the end you'll see a picture of Mouse, their mom! She'll be available for adoption too, she just needs a bit more time to decompress and settle in ❤️

Because they spent their earliest weeks growing up in a shelter environment, these pups can be a little shy when faced with new places, people, and experiences. In the few days they've been here with us, they are already blossoming in our care, and with patience, encouragement, and continued positive exposure to the world around them, they will make wonderful lifelong companions. These pups are looking for adopters who understand that confidence grows with kindness and consistency 🌱
