Hey there everyone, I just wanted to check in with y'all. We are still waiting on test results (hopefully by the end of this week), but things have steadied out a bit. The oncologist is more optimistic than the first opinions we heard, so we are all very hopeful ❤️ I am so unbelievably thankful and grateful for all of your love and support, it truly means the world to me and my family.
I do plan to keep my schedule a little lighter over the next few weeks until we have more concrete answers. The main reason being that my job consists of working with creatures that can be just as emotionally intelligent and empathetic as we are (imho) and they *know* something is up with me. Most of them want to provide comfort to me (which is heart-meltingly sweet 🥰❤️🥰) but there are a few that need me to comfort or guide them while theyre in the salon. Its always been important to me to provide as calm and safe of an environment as possible for your babies, and I want to make sure that I can still give each of them the time and attention they need and deserve.
Scheduling shouldn't be affected too much, besides same or next day appointments being less likely to be available. All pre-booked appointments can remain the same, and are available for anyone else who would prefer that option ❤️

Good Morning everyone. I need to update you all about a family emergency so my apologies if this is a long post, or if I ramble a bit. Over the weekend my daughter Danielle, who lives in Texas, went to the hospital complaining of severe shoulder pain. She took a pretty bad spill off her horse about a month ago so we all assumed it was related to that incident. Well, the short of it is that doctors found very concerning masses in her shoulder and liver and the big C word has been mentioned many times.
They biopsied her liver yesterday, and are hoping to do her shoulder today or tomorrow. Right now its a waiting game. Waiting on more test results for an official diagnosis and treatment program.
This has been A LOT to take in over the last few days, especially coming almost immediately after the scare with my dad's emergency hospital stay, not gonna lie.
So, how does all of this impact you guys? Honestly, I'm not entirely sure yet. I've been crying off and on SO much, so please dont be alarmed if you notice. But practically speaking, the crying is definitely slowing me down. If you are on any kind of tight schedule or are concerned about the length of time your pup spends here, please let me know at drop off so I can be extra conscientious. I will also be taking on a little less each day than I normally could/would. I am considering adjusting the salon hours one or two days a week, instead of 9-4 maybe 12-7, so if any of you would prefer a later afternoon appointment please let me know.
I will not be closing or moving the salon, though I may need to adjust some pre-scheduled appointments, depending on if/when I need to travel down there.
As far as contacting me for appointments, if you have the ability to text please text the salon cell at 5416007838. If you are referring a friend please ask them to text, or even stop by. I am overwhelmed with calls regarding my daughter, and having a very hard time keeping up with any others. Thank you so much for your grace as my family navigates the upcoming path ahead of us.

Sweet little Pearl the white schnauzer had her first official groom yesterday and she was an absolute rockstar!

A full service groom can be pretty overwhelming to young dogs, especially their first couple trips to a salon. For one, they are away from their people and the comforts of home, and secondly, the grooming process can honestly be quite invasive in their minds. For puppies (and older dogs who havent been groomed before) theres a whole lot more to those first few visits than just a bath and haircut. There's actually quite a bit of "training" and loads of comforting and reassurance involved to help set them up for success for what will be a lifetime routine for them. I try my best to schedule puppies on quieter days so I can give them extra attention and slow things down. I also never schedule them on days I know I have an anxious or...overly chatty (if you catch my drift😉) dog coming in, so the environment stays as calm as possible.

So yes, its true that some days I really do get to play with puppies at while I'm working, but I promise its for good reason 😁❤️
