The little rain shower earlier today might be a convenient reminder for you to consider how your horses current living arrangements might change when the real Oregon rain hits in just a few short months.
Pacific Northwest equestrians understand the struggle of keeping horses in a climate that rains for 5-6 months out of the year.
That struggle doesn't completely escape us here at Crow Hop Horse Boarding, but we do have the bonus of an incredible facility that was built with the wet Oregon winters in mind.
Our facility was put to the test with record flooding, for our area, in 2024 and with only a couple minor adjustments we were incredibly impressed by how our water drainage kept the barn and horses dry! In fact even when the pastures were completely under water, our attached runs off from each stall stayed mud free and the horses didn't have to be locked in a box stall.
