I always forget the ā€œafterā€ photos. So you know what, why not just post what I got today?
šŸ˜¹ I tried!!

Just imagine Mochi, the Aussie/Bernedoodle looking plush and soft, with fluffy smooth column legs and a nice round head with long ears and tail

Then just think of Aiko, the Tibetan Terrier, looking short and spunky with scruffy ears and a cute big head (cause no matter what you canā€™t hide that)

Thank you for all the wonderful gifts Iā€™ve received this year and holiday season! Not only were my clients get giving but my boss was very generous as well. I feel so lucky all of the time to do what I do, with such great folks!

Fear free grooming in reality:

Ollie is one of my favorite lil dudes. Iā€™ve been grooming him for maybe 4 years now. Heā€™s still so skiddish and tense for grooming; his body is physically hard, constant whale eye, panting (and lip licking though he now has no teeth).

It forces me to use my softest handling techniques and lots of reassurance. Despite his nerves, he looks to me for comfort still. He moves his body into mine as if to say ā€œhold me, Iā€™m scaredā€. This is a part of his fear free groom experience ā€¦ the truth is itā€™s not ā€œfear freeā€ sometimes it never will be.

Fear free grooming isā€¦ me doing my absolute best for every single dog to have the most comfortable groom that I can possibly giveā€¦ sometimes that means Iā€™ll offer them kongs or treats they may not eatā€¦ That means, ā€œwe werenā€™t able to wash his face todayā€. That means, ā€œyour pup needs an express groomā€.

Grooming experiences look different for every single animal, and itā€™s important to accept their tolerance levels & meet them where theyā€™re at
