🇺🇸🐾 Happy Labor Day from Norris! 🐾🇺🇸

Hey Norris Nation! It’s me, Norris! 😎

Apparently today is a holiday all about celebrating hardworking people, so obviously I felt like I should make an appearance. 😂 I mean… have you SEEN how hard I work?! Three days a week at enrichment, training, treadmill time, swimming, playing with my friends AND maintaining my celebrity status. Exhausting. 😂🐾

But seriously, today I want to give a big Norris-sized THANK YOU to our animal control officers, volunteers, fosters, trainers, supporters and everyone else who works hard every day to help animals like me. ❤️

Because of you guys, dogs like me get second chances, adventures, love and people who refuse to give up on us.

So enjoy your day off, humans. You earned it!

As for me? I’ll be busy doing what I do best…

Being Norris. 😎🇺🇸🐾

Happy Labor Day, Norris Nation! ❤️🤍💙

🚨🐾 NORRIS NATION… I HAVE A JOB FOR YOU! 🐾🚨

Apparently Euclid Pet Pals is having their Annual Vendor Sale and I’ve been informed that WE NEED MORE VENDORS! 😳

So naturally, they called in their most famous employee.

Me. Norris. 😎🐾

If you make stuff, sell stuff, bake stuff, create cool stuff, have pet goodies, clothes, décor, crafts… basically if you have STUFF PEOPLE WANT TO BUY, we want you there! 😂

🛍️ Vendor spaces are only $25!

📅 Sunday, September 13
⏰ 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 D. Fay Miller Animal Shelter
25100 Lakeland Blvd., Euclid

🚨 BUT LISTEN UP! The LAST DAY to secure your vendor space is September 9!

That is FOUR DAYS AWAY, people. I may be a dog, but even I know that’s not a lot of time. 😂

And the best part? That $25 vendor fee helps support Euclid Pet Pals, which means it helps homeless dogs and cats waiting for their families.

You know… dogs like ME. ❤️

💵 Want a spot? Reserve yours with:
• Cash at the shelter
• Venmo: https://account.venmo.com/u/Euclid-PetPals

Now I need Norris Nation to do what Norris Nation does best:

I’ve learned a lot while I’ve been waiting. ❤️🐾

Almost four years is a LONG time, you guys. And I definitely haven’t just been sitting around doing nothing.

I’ve learned how to train.
I’ve learned how to walk better on a leash.
I’ve learned to wait at doors.
I’ve learned the treadmill.
I’ve learned how to settle down when my brain wants to go approximately 900 miles an hour. 😂
I’ve learned how to play with other dogs with the right introductions and structure.
I’ve learned that structure is actually pretty cool… even though chaos will always have a special place in my heart. 😎
I’ve learned that I LOVE water, adventures, enrichment days and being included in whatever my people are doing.

I’ve learned how to trust.

I’ve learned how to love people with my whole entire heart.

And after living almost 4 of my 5 years in a shelter, I’ve learned how to make the best of a life I never expected to have.

But there’s still one thing I haven’t learned.

What it feels like to go home and know I’m never coming back.

I don’t know what it’s like to wake up every morning in my own home.

I don’t know what it’s like to have a person look at me and say, “You’re mine.”

I don’t know what it feels like to leave this shelter knowing my kennel won’t be waiting for me at the end of the day.

Almost four years here has taught me SO much.

I just hope year five teaches me what it feels like to finally belong. ❤️

I don’t need just ANY home. I need the RIGHT one.

I need someone who understands that I’m a commitment. Someone willing to continue my training, give me structure, keep me active and understand that sometimes my excitement gets the best of me. 😂

In return?

You’re getting one heck of a dog.

A goofy, loving, adventurous, ridiculously entertaining dog who has spent years preparing for a home he still hasn’t found.

And I even come with a free board-and-train to help us start our life together on the right foot. ❤️

Almost 600 PEOPLE follow my journey here on Norris Nation now. SIX HUNDRED! That’s a whole lot of people rooting for one goofy shelter dog. 🥹❤️

So Norris Nation, I’m asking you for something:

SHARE ME.

If almost 600 people share me, think about how many people could see my face.

I don’t need all of them to want me.

I only need ONE to be the right one.

Even if I’m not the dog for you, somebody you know might be exactly the person I’ve spent almost four years waiting for.

Let’s see how far Norris Nation can send my face. 🌎🐾

Maybe my person really is only one share away.

Today was EXTRA fun. 😎🐾💦

You already saw me living my best life at enrichment today, but obviously one river video wasn’t enough. 😂

I got to splash around, run through the water, play with my friend, and just be a DOG. And let me tell you… I had SUCH a good day. ❤️

These are the days I live for. Getting out of the shelter, hanging with my friends, burning off some of this famous Norris energy, and getting absolutely soaked while I’m at it. 😂

I’m home now, probably dreaming about my next adventure.

Today was a good day to be Norris. ❤️🐾

Now somebody just needs to adopt me so days like this don’t have to be the exception. I’d really like adventures to be part of my everyday life. 🥹

It’s enrichment dayyyyy! 🙌🐾

And apparently today’s agenda includes playing in the river with one of my friends! 😂💦

Just a couple of dogs splashing around, getting muddy and living our best lives. THIS is my kind of day!

I may have spent way too much of my life in a shelter, but days like today mean everything to me. I get to get out, have fun, burn off some of this Norris energy and just be a dog. ❤️

Now if you’ll excuse me… I have a river to conquer and a friend to annoy. 😂

Happy enrichment day, Norris Nation! 😎🐾💦

🌧️ What a boring, rainy Sunday. 😢

Not exactly my kind of weather, people. I’ve got ENERGY to burn and things to do! 😂

But you know what makes today a little better? Knowing TOMORROW IS ENRICHMENT DAY! 🙌🐾

And even better… my buddy Malcolm is coming with me! 😎

Two shelter boys getting out for the day, working our brains, burning some energy and having some fun?! Sounds like a pretty good Monday to me!

So for now, I guess I’ll survive this boring rainy Sunday and dream about tomorrow. 😂 Maybe take a nap. Maybe stare dramatically out of my kennel. Maybe remind everyone walking by that I’m still here and still ridiculously handsome.

Tomorrow, though? Norris & Malcolm are hitting enrichment! 💪🐶

Stay tuned, Norris Nation. I have a feeling we’re going to have some fun. ❤️🐾

Just me poppin’ on to say HI! 👋🐾

No big announcement. No dramatic story. Just your favorite wonderfully weird shelter dog checking in. 😂

I’m still here, still handsome, still keeping everyone on their toes, and still waiting for that right person to finally come along and say, “Yep. That crazy guy. He’s mine.” ❤️

Until then, I’ll keep doing what I do best—playing hard, training hard, making people laugh and reminding you all that I’m still here.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Love,
Norris 🐾❤️

😁 CHEESIN’! 😁Look at this face! I’m happy today! But let’s be real… I’m pretty much happy every day. 😂❤️Almost four years...

😁 CHEESIN’! 😁

Look at this face! I’m happy today!

But let’s be real… I’m pretty much happy every day. 😂❤️

Almost four years in the shelter and somehow I still wake up ready to have a good time. Give me my people, some playtime, a little chaos and maybe a snack or two and I’m GOOD. 😎🐾

I’ve got a big personality, an even bigger smile and an entire Norris Nation cheering me on.

Now I’m just missing one thing…

A HOME.

Until my person finally finds me, I’ll keep doing what I do best—playing hard, loving harder, making everyone laugh and CHEESIN’ for the camera. 😁

Seriously though… how can you look at this smile and not want to take me home?!

It’s a good day to be Norris. ❤️🐾

Three years ago, this video of me was taken. ❤️

Look how young I was. So silly. So naïve. Just a happy dog with a huge smile and absolutely no idea what the next three years would look like.

I didn’t know I’d become a “long timer.” I didn’t know I’d watch so many dogs come and go while I kept waiting. I didn’t know the shelter would become such a huge part of my life.

And I definitely didn’t know I’d become kind of a big deal. 😂⭐

A lot has changed since this video.

I’ve grown up. I train. I work hard. I play even harder. I’ve learned manners… most of them anyway. 😂 I’ve made so many friends. I’ve been on TV. I have trainers and volunteers who love me like I’m their own. I even have an entire Norris Nation cheering me on.

But when I look back at this old video, I realize something.

I’m still that dog.

I still play like a maniac. I still act weird. I still love with everything I have. And somehow, after all this time, I still haven’t lost hope.

That younger version of me had no idea he’d still be waiting three years later.

That part is a little sad.

But he also had no idea how many people would eventually know his name, love him, root for him and refuse to give up on him.

So I won’t give up either.

Someday this video won’t just be a video of me growing up in a shelter. It’ll be the beginning of a really long story that ends with me finally going home.

Until then, I’ll keep training. Keep playing. Keep making people laugh. Keep being my wonderfully weird self.

And obviously, keep being really cool while I’m at it. 😎🐾

I’ve waited this long. I can keep believing my person is out there.

I just really hope they find me soon. ❤️

Raw video. No music to drown out the noise. No editing to make shelter life look like something it isn’t.

This is my real life.

It’s loud. All the time. Dogs barking, people coming and going, kennel doors opening and closing… it never really stops.

I’m actually pretty chill in my kennel. I usually just curl up and nap, trying my best to tune everything out until it’s time for a walk or enrichment. 💤🐾

And I’m one of the lucky ones. I get out of the shelter three days a week for enrichment. I get a break from the noise, I get to train, play, run and just be a dog for a while.

But then I come back.

I love my volunteer friends. I love my trainers. I love all of you who follow me and root for me. I’m thankful for every single person who makes my life better while I’m here.

But shelter life is no life for any dog.

So when you watch this video, listen to it. Really listen. This is what shelter dogs hear every single day.

And when you’re ready to add a dog to your family, please adopt.

Even if it isn’t me. ❤️

Love,
Norris 🐾
