CherryLee’s big day is almost here.
In just a few weeks, our resilient girl is heading into a big surgery.
Shiloh Veterinary Hospital Dr. Rosen will be performing a reconstructive procedure and placing a tube to help open up one of her ear canals.
We’ve been patiently waiting for the cooler weather to make sure her recovery is as comfortable as possible—and while she’s under, she’ll also be getting a dental and facial X-rays.
For those new to CherryLee’s journey, she came to us after surviving a severe attack that left her face and skull deeply injured, including a large missing section of skull in front of her nasal cavity. It is an absolute miracle—and a testament to Dr. Rosen’s incredible care—that she is here with us today.
Because of her injuries, routine monitoring of her facial bones and teeth is critical so we can stay ahead of any potential complications.
Cherry will require 24/7 close monitoring for 7–10 days post-op to ensure her ear drain stays safe and intact while she heals.
