🐾 Foster Needed for a Special Little Fighter 🐾

This sweet kitten has been through so much—and is now on the road to recovery 💛

She is recovering from:
• Panleukopenia
• Parasites
• Upper respiratory infection

✨ Great news: she is doing well and improving every day!

⚠️ Important: Panleukopenia can be contagious to other cats, so she will need to be fostered in a home without other cats (or with the ability to strictly isolate). The virus does not affect dogs, so dog-only homes are welcome!

She’s bright, loving, and ready for a calm place to continue healing. With a little TLC, she’s going to thrive 🐱💕

🏡 We are looking for a foster who can:
• Provide a quiet, clean space
• Keep her separated from other cats
• Continue basic care and monitoring
• Give her the love she deserves

This sweet little visitor made themselves right at home—perfectly tucked into the basket and ready to steal hearts 💛

Hello everyone! Two cats were found by a Good Samaritan between Iroquois Trail and Apache Lane in Newberry Township.

They do have microchips, but unfortunately no owners are currently linked (they are registered through the Philly SPCA).

The Good Samaritans are bringing the cats to the Harrisburg Humane Society.

If you recognize these cats or think they may belong to someone you know, please head there or contact the Humane Society.

We are seeking a dependable, motivated individual to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in veterinary medicine — no prior experience required for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist doctors and technicians with patient care and safe animal restraint
• Support front desk operations including client communication and scheduling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital
• Help create a positive experience for both clients and patients

What We’re Looking For:
• Strong work ethic and reliability (this is essential)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Previous veterinary or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

We are feeling extra grateful today! 💙

These two sweet kittens have officially found their forever homes thanks to our amazing clients. Watching them go from tiny patients in our care to beloved family members is one of the best parts of what we do.

Thank you to the wonderful families who opened their hearts and homes to these little ones. Your kindness makes a huge difference, and we couldn’t be happier for them. 🐱

We love seeing our community come together to help animals get the happy endings they deserve!

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day by honoring the trailblazer who paved the way for women in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Aleen Cust became the first female veterinarian in the world in 1897. At a time when women were not accepted in the profession, she quietly completed her veterinary studies and worked for years before finally being officially recognized.

Because of pioneers like Dr. Cust, generations of women have been able to pursue careers caring for animals and advancing veterinary medicine.

Today we celebrate the compassion, dedication, and strength of the women who continue to shape our profession every day. 🐾💜
