I'll have to double check genders but I'll possibly be posting two sable chinchilla Jr's once I get their photos done, along with a few others.

Some of you are snakes. I see you ๐Ÿ Just keep in mind no one likes snakes in their coop, little mail carriers from one breeder, dishing cute gossip to another breeder ๐Ÿ˜„ if you're bored and you have so much time on your hands, get a hobby. I bet your laundry is still waiting for you.

I see some commenting in support on a breeder's post and then licking the boot of the other breeder the first post JUST put down. Eww. Playing both sides like that, you wild child, you ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ’€

So many babies and growouts I want to keep, if only I had unlimited space ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Today we fostered two of Oakley's babies to Qadira, and one to Ebony just to even the playing field for food among the litters.

Oakley, Ebony, and Qadira now have eight kits each in their boxes, and Tauriel has her seven.

So far, almost everyone is looking great! Moms are doing an amazing job feeding their litters. Even Oakley's eleven were being decently fed before fostering the three out, I'm just being cautious. I do think one of Tauriel's babies is looking FTT but we will see how it does for the next couple days before calling it. As much as it will suck, one out of 31 is not bad at all.

I was hoping to get videos of the litters today, but we have been having insane rain and wind all day, and I did not want to mess with the kits in the cold more than I had to. I will get videos soon!

This ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ and I'll also be putting in my policy update about how I can't say for sure how a kit/ junior rabbit will turn out, because Hollands change so much as they mature and some take longer than others.

What someone charges for their rabbits is quite literally their business.

You do not have to agree with it. You do not have to buy from them. But the constant vague posting, mocking, and dogpiling breeders because they price differently than you is honestly getting really gross. Some breeders are charging pet prices.
Some are charging show prices.
Some are charging based on pedigrees. Some are charging based on color projects. Some are charging because they imported lines. Some are charging because tattoo, pose train, travel to shows, keep detailed records, buy quality feed, invest years into their program, or simply because they KNOW the value of what they produced. And some charge based on what they personally would pay. And on the flip side?
Some people intentionally keep prices lower because they breed casually, want quick sales, donโ€™t show, donโ€™t work heavily with structure, or simply because that works for THEIR program. Neither automatically makes someone a bad breeder. A $50 rabbit is not automatically junk. A $500 rabbit is not automatically a scam.

And while weโ€™re at it, if you are buying a JUNIOR rabbit, regardless of price, nobody ethical is going to guarantee permanent quality on that rabbit. Thatโ€™s just reality. I personally even have disclaimers in my own sales policy because of this exact thing. As breeders, we can absolutely be honest about what we currently see in a rabbit. We can evaluate type, shoulders, crown, ear carriage, density, topline, balance, whatever applies to the breed at that moment in time. But rabbits change as they grow. Juniors can bloom beautifully or completely fall apart later. That is part of working with livestock and breeding animals.

You are allowed to say thatโ€™s outside my budget. You are NOT entitled to act like someone is immoral because they value their work differently than you do.
This hobby already has enough division without people turning pricing into another excuse to publicly belittle each other.

I'm on one today apparently, but we seriously need to learn to give each other grace and quit acting like it's highschool.
