We had a great time at beginner camp earlier this week! We had fun riding, learning about horse care and welfare, exploring what horses eat, making horse treats, identifying brushes and doing a scavenger hunt, measuring horses and identifying the difference between horses and ponies, and more! Unfortunately I didn’t get many pictures - I guess we were too busy! This was such a fun group of eager young equestrians. Huge thank you to Cayden, Jordyn, and Rynn for helping and teaching! 🐴

We had a great time at beginner camp this week with a wonderful group of inquisitive young riders! In addition to working on our riding skills, we learned about different equestrian disciplines, identified parts of saddles and bridles, talked about the importance of grooming and hoof care, met our wonderful farrier Jerry Harriman and learned about how he helps keep our horses healthy, created an obstacle course and practiced leading the horses through it, did some ba****ck riding, gave Pistol a bath, and much more! A huge thank you to my amazing assistants Cayden and Jordyn for all their help teaching! 🐴

We had a great time at beginner camp this week with this fun group of kids! They rode in the morning before the heat really set in, and then learned safety around horses, practiced recognizing equine body language, identified some colors and markings, practiced leading and horsemanship, gave Santiago a bath, and designed their own obstacle course to practice leading the horses through. Huge thank you to Cayden, Jordyn, and Gabby for being excellent camp counselors & working with these young riders! 🐴

We had a great time this week with this fun group of campers! They were such a great group that was eager to learn! We did rider exercises to strengthen our balance and position, practiced school figures using soft aids, learned parts of the horse, practiced how to measure horses and ponies, gave Jasper a bath, learned some common horse colors, and practiced keeping the barn clean! Here are a few pictures - I didn’t get as many as I would have liked; the time flew right by!
