It's been a bit quiet at SunStone Vaulters this competition season. Schedules and obligations took precedence over weekly practices, but one of our vaulters, Elizabeth Prince, from Tillamook, through sheer determination from her family, hundreds of hours of cross-country driving, hard work, and supportive friends in the Vaulting community found ways to make it work. Lizzie rode/competed on 10 different horses here and around the region in five different competitions that helped her reach her goal. At the 2025 USEF/EVUSA National Championships this weekend, Lizzie came home EIGHTH OVERALL out of 61 competitors in the Nationally Recognized, Trot Division! Congratulations, Lizzie!

SunStone Vaulters enjoyed the Estacada 4th of July Parade!

Friday, May 30th, was an historic day for SunStone Vaulters! We held our 1st Annual SSV Square Dance Fundraiser here in Estacada! We introduced square dancing to those who had never tried it and reintroduced it to those who'd forgotten about it, but most importantly, the vaulters held their first indoor demonstration for those who had never seen Vaulting! In the previous weeks, the vaulters worked hard on their routines and were eager to show the results. They did a great job! Thank you to the parents who helped with the refreshments, set-up, make-up, and support! More photos/videos to come!

Had a little photo shoot with a few of our newest vaulters at lessons on Monday! I think they had a great time! Remember, they do most of these moves on a live horse!

It was a fun acro-yoga and barrel day today! We have a demo coming up on May 30th, so we're creating a team routine! Lots of smiles as we brought it all together.

All of the Vaulters are starting to learn their next level skills! Little Thea, almost 5, is starting to Trot, and the others are starting to Canter! I'll get more videos next time!

SunStone Vaulters had it's own inaugural event today....SSV Development Day! We spent a fun-filled day with clinician, Bella Fetters, who helped us with skills, drills, and Freestyle routines. We also touched on acro-yoga, team building, as well as playing with some friendly dragons during free time. A scrumptious pizza buffet was a great bonus! Everyone had a great time, and we'll definitely do this again next year!

SSV attended the last competition of the season, Harbor View Vaulters' Oktober Fest in Enumclaw, WA this weekend, and we continued to bring home the ribbons! We made history by having most of the vaulters advance a skill level, so there was a huge learning curve for us all! Romeo and Brooks worked hard and did their best! Go, SunStone Vaulters!
