Good morning, everyone! 🌞🐾

We’ve been debating whether to share her story, but she is just too special not to introduce to our community! Meet a very brave kitty who has quickly become the heart of our shelter team. ❤️

When she first arrived, we noticed her breathing wasn't quite right and suspected a cold or pneumonia. After detailed X-rays and thorough vet care, we found out she’s actually living with just one small lung due to trauma prior to coming to us. We can not fathom what must have happened to her for such an injury but we do know she will never endure such trauma again.

Despite everything she's been through, she is a resilient little girl who spends her days comfortable, cozy, and purring away in a dedicated hospice foster home! Our goal is simple: to make sure she lives out the rest of her life no matter how short that may be, surrounded by warmth, comfort, and love. 🐱🏡

Any contribution—big or small—makes a world of difference for not only her but for our emergency cases who must seek care at our local vets offices. If you would like to donate to help with her expenses or help our emergency funds so we are able to treat animals who need extensive care you can donate at the links below. We also use veterinary clinics in the area who will accept payments by phone towards our account if you would like to donate directly to the account.

Heartfelt Thanks to JCPenney in Johnson City! 🐾❤️
We want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at JCPenney in the Johnson City Mall. We had an absolutely wonderful time at our adoption event this past weekend, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their warm hospitality and support.

Thanks to this awesome partnership, 6 of our sweet shelter cats found their forever homes! 🐱

✨ A few amazing JCPenney staff members even opened up their hearts and homes to adopt kitties of their own!

We met so many wonderful people from our community, and thanks to your generosity, we also received some fantastic donations to help care for our animals. A very special shoutout to the JCPenney management team and staff—your kindness and dedication mean the world to us and make a real difference in the lives of shelter pets every single day.

Thank you, JCPenney, for hosting us and being such champion supporters of animal welfare! 🛍️🐾
Cheryl Chapman Melita you were so hospitable and we are so glad we made a great new friend to support our shelter. 🥰
