BIG OUT OUT!
Jake's Heating and Air showed up at our shelter to help when we needed it most. 94° F out and we were having trouble with our AC unit and unable to find the filters we needed all over the tricities to keep what air conditioning we have going. Our kennels get very hot. They showed up and found us the filters we needed. They helped us keep our unit clean and functioning properly to keep our pups cooled and did it all at no charge for our shelter. Their goal was just to help the pups!
We can't explain how much we appreciate all their support. 💙

On our way out today, we received a call about four severely emaciated puppies found at the side of the road.

​A sweet concerned citizen found them and brought them in to get help. He had a flight scheduled for morning to visit family but was willing to cancel it to ensure these pups were safe. Of course, we stepped in immediately so he could make his flight while we took over their care.

​This rescue comes right on the heels of picking up four kittens earlier today after the momma cat was killed by a coyote. We are currently completely at capacity for animals and need our community's support now more than ever.

​We urgently need temporary foster homes and permanent adopters to help clear space and give these animals a second chance.

​Please also check out our Amazon Wish List for items we critically need and supplies or physical donations can be dropped off directly at the shelter. We are in critical need of food and litter.

These babies were left abandoned in our drop box yesterday. 😭 please PM if you are interested in adopting or fostering.

**edit to add because I worded this poorly. I do apologize. We do not have a drop box that we use. This was a donated box that is in an area of our parking lot we do not use. We have posted in multiple places on our property that under penalty of law animals can not be left unattended after hours. We do intakes by appointment only as we have space.

Huge shoutout and massive thank you to Doggo Mobile 🐾❤️

​We are overflowing with gratitude for their incredible fundraising efforts and dedication to our shelter. Doggo Mobile raised $742 for our shelter. This money is allowing our shelter to waive adoption fees for the remainder of the month for all onsite shelter adoptions.

A very special, heartfelt thank you goes out to Doggo Mobile amazing owner and groomer, who spent two full days of volunteer time at our shelter pampering and loving on every single animal she met. She didn’t just groom our pups—she made each and every one of them feel incredibly special, loved, and valued. She was also helped by other staff members with Doggo Mobile while she was at our shelter as well as her sweet mother who participated in this collaboration as well. She shared with us that she was so proud of her daughter for doing this as she has been a groomer and taught her all that she knew. 🩷💜

This collaboration has been such an exciting adventure for our shelter. ​Our entire staff is deeply moved by her generosity, time, and spirit. Words can’t fully express how much her hard work means to our team and our sweet animals. Thank you, Doggo Mobile, for showing our rescue pups so much love!

​We are so excited to welcome our community back! We’re kicking off our soft opening this week and would love for you to come out, visit the shelter, and help our animals find their forever homes. 🐶🐱

​📢 SPECIAL THIS WEEK: All ADOPTION FEES ARE WAIVED!

​📍 Location: 185 N Industrial Dr, Erwin, TN

​⏰ Soft Opening Schedule for This Week:

​Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
​Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
​Thursday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
​Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

​Note: We will post our schedule for the remainder of the month towards the end of this week! We are still training new hires who will help us with open hours. We have recieved messages about volunteers to answer phones and help visitors. We answer many messages a day so feel free to double message if you've not heard back!
