Ready, set… HERE, PUPPY! 💨🐕

It's a friendly competition at For Paws, and the prize is a dog who comes running when called!

In our Ping Pong Recall game, people take turns calling the dog back and forth, competing to be the most exciting, rewarding person in the room!

🎉 Happy voices! Big enthusiasm! Lots of praise and rewards!

But there's a real training purpose behind all that fun. We're teaching dogs that coming when called is worth their while—even when there are other people, dogs, and distractions nearby.

And judging by these photos, somebody is having an absolute BLAST! 😂

The goal? Make coming to YOU more exciting than whatever else is happening around your dog!

Looks like this adorable little student, Carlie, brought her humans to school! 😂

While the guys are busy discussing the finer points of dog training, their four-legged classmate seems to have a few ideas of her own!

But that's what we love about training at For Paws. We don't just teach dogs. We teach people how to communicate with their dogs!

Learning to reward good choices, build focus, and practice everyday manners creates a stronger bond between dogs and the people who love them.

And this little gal is already showing off her skills—from sitting nicely to offering an adorable paw! 🐾

Of course, with those ears, that smile, and that little tongue sticking out, we're pretty sure she's going to charm her way through class! ❤️

Echo has mastered a skill that plenty of dogs (and humans!) struggle with… RELAXING! 😂

Looking quite pleased with herself on her cot, Echo is showing off one of the most valuable skills we teach at For Paws: PLACE!

Teaching a dog to go to a designated spot and settle there is about so much more than simply lying down.

It's learning to relax while life happens around them. Visitors at the door? Dinner being prepared? Other dogs nearby? A reliable PLACE command can help turn chaos into calm.

And don't let that sleepy face fool you. Learning to do nothing when there's plenty going on takes practice!

This handsome boy looks like he knows exactly how to make a new friend!

A gentle approach, a sweet look, and before you know it, he's getting all the love and attention. 🥰

At For Paws, good manners aren't just about sitting, staying, and walking nicely on a leash. They're also about learning to greet people calmly, respect personal space, and feel comfortable around people of all ages and abilities.

These are wonderful skills for everyday life—and especially important for dogs who may someday pursue therapy dog work!

And judging by those smiles, this pupcertainly knows how to brighten someone's day. ❤️🐶

This handsome little guy was busy taking in the sights and sounds at For Paws, practicing his puppy skills and checking out the world around him.

From exploring an elevated cot to learning to focus on his person, every new experience is an opportunity to build confidence!

And let's be fair... with a face like that, he's probably already mastered getting whatever he wants at home! 😂❤️

Meet Lambeau and his adorable classmate Rosa Maple. 🐶❤️🐶

These two fluffy youngsters are discovering that puppy class is about more than just sit, stay, and down!

It's also about learning how to greet new friends, build confidence, explore new experiences, and practice good manners—even when another ridiculously cute puppy is right in front of you! 😂

And let's not forget the importance of learning to settle and relax around other dogs. That's a BIG life skill for little puppies!

At For Paws, we use positive reinforcement to help puppies build the foundation for a lifetime of good behavior.
