We wanted to share a little update on Raccoon, the sweet girl who was found in a dumpster. She is now warm, safe, and finally learning what love feels like. 💛

She has a brand-new dog bed, a lifted/tilted bowl to help her eat and drink comfortably, and an entire staff who adores her. Our team has been gently teaching her that soft hands and kind voices are meant for her—and she’s slowly starting to believe it.

Raccoon was spayed this week and is officially on the road to recovery. A huge thank-you to Dr. Clauder for giving her the second chance she deserves.

In the video, you’ll see Carmen feeding her. Carmen sits with her, sings to her, plays soft music, and talks to her like she’s family. If that doesn’t show the dedication our staff has… nothing will.

Thank you to everyone who has shown Raccoon love. She’s finally getting the life she always deserved. 🐾💕

🦃 Thanksgiving Week Update from Houston County Animal Clinic 🦃

We wanted to let our community know that we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our team can enjoy the holiday with their families.

However, we WILL be open on Tuesday and Friday this week for limited services.
During those days, we will not be seeing patients or taking appointments, but our staff will be available to:

📞 Answer phone calls
💊 Handle approved medication pick-ups
🍽️ Assist with prescription diet pick-ups

If your pet needs medical attention during this time, please plan accordingly — and as always, we’re here to help however we can.

This morning an injured dog had found its way into a dumpster on school grounds, we made a quick call to Houston County Animal Clinic and they immediately sent help. Thank you so much ladies for offering a helping hand and having such kind hearts for animals in need!

🚨 FOUND DOG – NEEDS OWNER INFORMATION 🚨

Houston County, we need your help.

This sweet girl was found abandoned outside IN a dumpster in the cold at Houston County High School. She has a severe facial wound that appears to have healed improperly over time, and she also looks as though she may be pregnant — though our doctor has not yet completed a full exam to confirm.

Right now she is scared, exhausted, and unsure, but she is safe with us and being cared for.

We are asking the community:

👉 Does anyone recognize her?
👉 Do you know who she may belong to or where she may have come from?

She deserves answers… and so much better than what she has been through.
