🚨SEEKING URGENT HELP FOR AN OA ALUM🚨

George came into our care early this spring, and you never heard his story because his fosters fell in love and adopted him right away. We took George in from a local vet hospital when he was taken in for euthanasia.

In the past, he had chronic ear infections and a known polyp that had not been removed. Under our care we removed the polyp and monitored regrowth for a month. When no regrowth happened, he was adopted.

Over the summer, George’s ear infections continued and his family even had a few scares with seizures. After consulting with a neurologist at metropolitan, the doctors believe the infections are so deep in his ear canal that fluid or an abscess is reaching his brain and causing the seizures.

The good news is, a specialized surgery to remove all tissue in the ear canal may CURE George of all of his problems. His new family is doing whatever it takes to make him comfortable. We are simply posting on their behalf in hopes to raise some funds towards his care. Any money raised will go directly to George’s family, so Erie, if you’ve got a few dollars to help an OA Alum, we and George’s family would surely appreciate it!! ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Sweet Momma Lynne just lost her dad. Originally an OA cat and mama, this girl is just as sweet as we remember. She came in purring and looking for attention. It is evident that she was very well loved.

The shelter can be tough on older residents, especially when they’re used to a home environment. We’re hopeful that we can find her new forever home quickly. Anyone looking for a senior companion to enjoy her golden years with? Put your app in for Momma Lynne!

We know our hours can be frustrating sometimes, and we appreciate everyone who wants to come in and meet our cats! ❤️

Although we will be closed this weekend, we are STILL doing adoptions!

If you have your heart set on meeting one of our cats, please fill out an adoption application online. Once we receive it, we can work with you to schedule a meet-and-greet!

Our priority is always making sure our cats receive the care, attention, and love they deserve while continuing to find them their forever homes. Being closed to walk-in visitors doesn't mean we stop working for them!

Kitten move in!!! ✨

Here comes Auggie!! Auggie is the most playful, most rambunctious little kitten we’ve had in a while! He loves to wrestle too! You certainly won’t be bored with this one! When he’s done playing, he loves a snuggle sesh too! He’s the best of both worlds!

A good sam from our clinic did their part in the community by taking in a mama and her babies, getting them fully vetted and then asked us to help with adoption!! Getting the vetting done really saved us some resources that could then be allocated to more critical cases! Thank you to the good sam!

That being said, Fable just moved in! (Be on the lookout for her babies in a few weeks)! Fable is a really sweet girl, very personable and came out of her shell right away! We’re so happy to get this mama off the streets, never to have to worry about raising another litter of kittens! Now she’s all set for her furever home!
