Today is a reminder that charity isn’t just about giving. It’s about giving someone a chance. ❤️

At Orphan Angels, every donation helps us say YES to cats who need us. The sick, the injured, the bottle babies, the seniors, the shy ones, and the cats with medical needs that may take weeks, months, or even a lifetime to manage.

We don’t put a time limit on a cat’s stay, and we don’t turn away the ones who need extra care simply because they are expensive or difficult. But that promise is only possible because of the generosity of people who believe these cats are worth fighting for.

Every $5, $10, $25 or whatever you can give will help provide food, medication, veterinary care, supplies, and a safe place to call home.

Wally update
We received an update on Wally's CT scan. We were so confident that he would require surgery and that it would give him the life he deserves. Unfortunately, we dont always get the news we want.
Mary Grace, .."Unfortunately, not good news. He has generalized megaesophagus, not a surgical disease, and a poor long-term prognosis."...

The wind is in our sail. We will absolutely make this work, do right by him, and give him the best life possible.
Eventually, he will be available for adoption IF the right family presents themselves but for now, we will be strategically planning for a safe environment for Wally once he moves into the shelter from foster.
This may require things like an additional double door system, changes to our food schedules, etc.
Donations are still being accepted towards his care. He will need a special feeder, his prescription food, and any environmental special requirements.

We are sad for Wally. But we have a 3 year old with the same condition living at the shelter and medically, he is thriving.

We appreciate all of the well wishes, support, shares, and donations.
Please continue to keep Wally and OA in your thoughts. As a no kill sanctuary, we will always find ways to make it work but we certainly can not do it without all of you!

The sedation and CT scan for Wally was a success. He was released back to his foster mom today! The surgeon will review and let us know their findings soon!

We truly appreciate all of the vibes sent for this little guy.

If you can, we still need to raise additional funds for the scan and his upcoming surgery. Any amount of donations would truly be appreciated and will go directly towards the care of Wally

Happy September! We are excited to announce a HUGE day going on here with Orphan Angels. Clear your calendars for Saturday, September 12th! For 12 straight hours, we have fun going on throughout our lovely city!!
10am-3pm CLEAR THE SHELTER. join us with approved applications to bring home your new best friend! Adopters will not only be taking home their best friend, help clear out the shelter to make room for the homeless and needy cats still out there on the street, but also a fun goodie bag filled with neat cat related items! THEN! Join us at THE CAB for their first annual Nyle Jablonka car CRUISE from 4pm-7pm (food proceeds go towards OA) Finally, end the evening singing your heart out at KITTY KARAOKE at Haggertys from 7pm-10pm. You sing, and more cats get saved! We are so excited for this fun filled day and hope to see you there!!

Remember this little guy? Well,
WALLY NEEDS US NOW MORE THAN EVER!

Wally came to Orphan Angels just a few days old, far too tiny to make it on his own. He needed bottle feedings every 2 hours around the clock, and we fought hard to give this little guy a chance.

Fast forward to weaning… and we knew something wasn’t right. Wally was vomiting and regurgitating his food. After a series of X-rays and countless conversations with a board-certified soft tissue surgeon, we finally had an answer: Wally has megaesophagus.

Tomorrow, Wally is traveling to Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Ohio for a consultation and CT scan to determine exactly what needs to be done.

Wally will require a very complicated open-chest surgery to repair the underlying problem. It’s a big surgery, but if successful, it could give Wally a longer, safer, healthier life. ❤️

He has come this far because of the amazing support from his veterinarians, his foster parents, and the support from all of YOU!
We have come this far with him, and we aren't giving up now.

🏠 Hidey holes are more than just a cozy spot! 🐾

Move-in day can be stressful, especially for our shy and timid kitties. New smells, sounds, people, and surroundings can be overwhelming.

A hidey-hole gives them a safe place to retreat, decompress, and adjust at their own pace. ❤️

Sometimes, feeling safe is the first step toward coming out of their shell. 🐱
