Today, we honor a very special member of the Bowhaus family, Olive Merrion.
Olive had been part of our pack since 2015 and joined us at Bowhaus Erie in 2022. We've loved watching her grow up over the years and slowly gain a little more powdered sugar on her nose with each passing season. She was everything you would expect from a Labrador and more. She loved her food, made sure everyone knew exactly when it was mealtime, and wasn't shy about letting you know if breakfast or dinner was running late. Belly scratches were one of her favorite things, and her sweet, lovable personality made her a favorite among staff and pups alike.
On June 1, 2026, we said goodbye to our dear friend.
Over the years, Olive brought smiles, laughter, and so much love to everyone she met. She was a familiar face, a loyal friend, and a cherished part of our Bowhaus family. Whether she was demanding her next meal, soaking up attention from staff, or rolling over for belly rubs, Olive had a way of making everyone around her smile.
Some dogs come into our lives and leave paw prints on our hearts forever. Olive was one of those dogs.
Our hearts go out to Olive's mom and family during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful girl with us and allowing us to be part of her journey.
It's never goodbye. It's just see you later.
