🍻 LAST CALL FOR 2026 BARKTOBERFEST SHIRTS! 🍻

Three years. Three adorable faces. Three shirts that are becoming PAD history!

We thought it would be fun to take a little trip down memory lane and show off our Barktoberfest shirts from the past three years!

🩶 2024: PAD Ken made his debut on our original Barktoberfest shirt in classic gray! Now working at Perkiomen School District
💜 2025: PAD Dasher stole the show on our lavender shirt! A future PAD mom!
🧡 2026: It's PAD Glory's turn to shine on this year's bright orange shirt! A working PAD dog!

Here's the catch! Once each year's design is gone, it's GONE! The 2024 and 2025 designs are officially retired and no longer available.

And now we're taking our FINAL ORDERS FOR 2026!

If you've been thinking about getting this year's shirt, NOW is the time! Don't wait until next year when you're looking at Glory's adorable face wishing you'd ordered one.

Every shirt purchased helps support Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central PA and our mission of helping individuals with disabilities gain greater independence through assistance dogs.

🍻🐾 AND DON'T FORGET BARKTOBERFEST 2026!

Join us at Hillside Spirit Co for another year of Barktoberfest fun!

Come enjoy the festivities, spend time with fellow PAD supporters, and help us raise funds for our assistance dog programs. Whether you've been supporting PAD for years or you're just getting to know us, we'd love to see you there!

IT’S BIRTHDAY GROUP LESSON DAY AT PAD! 🎂

The balloons are up. The cupcakes are ready. The dogs are coming.

And our founder and director Linzey is officially 42!

Because apparently the most Linzey way possible to celebrate a birthday is to schedule a whole bunch of group lessons, we’re turning today into Pop In & Celebrate 42 with Linzey & PAD!

And of course, we couldn’t just have normal group lessons. Today’s teams will be celebrating with some birthday themed training games:

🎾 Bobbing for Tennis Balls
🎉 Sit/Stay Birthday Photos with the official 42 party hat
🧁 Loose Leash Walking to earn their human a cupcake
⏱️ And the ultimate challenge… How Many Cues Can You Do in 42 Seconds?!

A HUGE shoutout to bethanybakes_bakedwithjoy for the absolutely adorable cupcakes helping us celebrate today! They are almost too cute to eat. Almost.

We’ll have dogs coming and going throughout the afternoon and evening, so POP IN!

You don’t need to be attending a lesson or even have a dog with you. Come say happy birthday, cheer on our teams, grab some birthday cheer, and celebrate PAD with us!
Instead of birthday gifts,

Linzey is asking anyone who would like to celebrate with her to make a donation to Phoenix Assistance Dogs.

Whether it’s $4.20, $14, $42, or whatever feels right, every dollar goes right back into the dogs and people who make this organization so special.

Come celebrate 42 years of Linzey and 17 years of Phoenix Assistance Dogs!

Help us congratulate 15 amazing teams!

We have had a busy few months of Public Access Certifications, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate 15 teams who recently passed!

Of these teams, 4 are newly certified teams completing their Public Access Certification for the first time, and 11 are returning teams who successfully completed their required retesting!

Passing PAD’s Public Access Certification is no small accomplishment. Teams are evaluated in real world public environments on everything from controlled entrances and exits, heeling through busy spaces, recalls, food and shopping cart distractions, interactions with strangers and children, unexpected noises, restaurant behavior, elevators, assistance tasks, and most importantly, the handler’s ability to maintain safe and appropriate control of their dog throughout the evaluation.

And certification is not a “one and done” accomplishment. Our teams continue to be evaluated annually after certification to make sure the skills, confidence, safety, and partnership that earned them public access remain strong.

That is why we are just as proud of those 11 retests as we are of our 4 newly certified teams. Maintaining the standard matters just as much as reaching it.

Behind every one of these photos are countless hours of training, practice, frustrating days, breakthrough moments, treats, outings, homework, and teamwork.

Drop them some love in the comments!

Our 6th Annual Mini Fall Auction raised an incredible $1,305!

Thank you to everyone who bid, shared our auction, donated items, invited friends, and helped make this little fall fundraiser such a success. Every bid adds up, and every dollar raised helps us continue raising, training, and supporting incredible assistance dogs and their future partners.

We are so grateful for this community and for the people who continue to show up for PAD year after year.

From all of us at Phoenix Assistance Dogs, THANK YOU for making our 6th Annual Mini Fall Auction another wonderful success!

We couldn’t do what we do without you!
