🐾💕 I just have to take a moment to brag on Barbie and her incredible guardian family!

When we first brought Barbie into our program, we were blessed with the opportunity to rescue her from a kennel situation and give her a completely different life. ❤️

At the time, Barbie had virtually no training and absolutely no confidence when it came to recall, following commands, or even understanding what was being asked of her. She simply hadn’t been given the opportunity to learn and grow in a family environment.

Fast forward to today, and WOW! The transformation has been absolutely incredible! 🥹❤️

Her guardian family has poured so much time, patience, love, and consistency into her, and it SHOWS! Watching Barbie blossom into a confident, happy girl who is learning new skills and building such a beautiful relationship with her family has been so rewarding.

And THIS is exactly why our guardian home program is so incredibly important to us!

At Owenadoodle, we believe our breeding dogs deserve to be FAMILY members first and foremost. Not dogs living their lives in kennels, waiting for their next litter.

Our dogs live in loving homes, sleep alongside their families, go on adventures, receive individual attention, and experience all the wonderful things that come with being someone’s beloved companion.

Barbie is such a beautiful example of what love, patience, and a dedicated family can accomplish. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better guardian home for her, and I am beyond thankful for everything they’ve done to help her become the dog she is today!

And we’re especially excited because Barbie’s next litter of beautiful Goldendoodle puppies is planned for this coming spring! 🌸🐶

To all of our amazing guardian families, THANK YOU! You are such an important part of our program and the reason we’re able to give our breeding dogs the loving, family-centered lives they deserve.

Sometimes life brings unexpected changes, and today was one of those days here at Owenadoodle. ❤️🐾

Due to some unexpected health concerns with his previous owner, sweet Rancher has found his way back home to us at eight months old.

While this wasn’t something we anticipated, it’s something we’ve always been prepared for. When a puppy leaves our home, our commitment to that puppy doesn’t end. Not at eight weeks, eight months, eight years, or even beyond.

Every single puppy born and raised in our program has a lifelong place with us if they ever need it. ❤️

This is something I feel incredibly strongly about, and something I believe every family should consider when choosing a breeder. Life happens. Circumstances change. Health concerns arise, families experience hardships, and sometimes people find themselves in situations they never expected.

A responsible breeder should always be willing to stand behind the lives they helped bring into this world.

When you bring home an Owenadoodle puppy, you’re not just bringing home a puppy. You’re becoming part of a family that will be here to support you and your dog for their entire lifetime.

As for Rancher, he’ll be spending the next couple of weeks right here with us! We’ll be giving him plenty of love, consistency, training, and time to settle back in while we evaluate his temperament, personality, and individual needs.

Our goal isn’t simply to find him another home. It’s to find him the RIGHT home. A family where he can thrive, feel secure, and be loved for the rest of his life.

And until that perfect family comes along, he’s right where he belongs. ❤️

Because here at Owenadoodle, our responsibility to these puppies doesn’t end when they walk out our door. It’s a commitment we make for life. 🐾💕

🐾 Potty training at just 3.5 weeks old?! YES! 🐾

Maisie’s beautiful babies are officially three and a half weeks old, and we’ve introduced their potty trays! I am absolutely amazed at how well these little ones are already catching on! 😍

One of the things I believe makes such a HUGE difference in raising puppies is starting potty training EARLY!

Puppies naturally begin developing the instinct to keep their sleeping and living areas clean, and by introducing a designated potty area at such a young age, we can help encourage those instincts right from the beginning.

Instead of waiting until puppies are eight weeks old to introduce the concept of potty training, our babies have already had over a MONTH of practice before they ever head home to their new families! 🏡❤️

Does that mean they’ll be completely potty trained when they go home? Of course not! But it gives them an incredible head start and helps make that transition into their forever homes so much easier.

And these little ones? They’re already doing AMAZING! Watching them toddle over to their potty trays at just three and a half weeks old never gets old! 🥹🐶

This is just one of the many ways we intentionally raise our puppies here at Owenadoodle. Every little step matters!

And THIS is exactly what I mean when I say our puppies are truly raised in our home, as part of our family.

My youngest literally planted himself right between Maisie’s and Maggie’s puppy pens so BOTH litters could get some extra love. 😂🥰

Our puppies aren’t tucked away in a separate puppy room where they only see people when we intentionally go in to work with them. They grow up right in the middle of everyday family life—kids playing, people talking, doors opening, vacuums running, meals being made, and all the normal sights, sounds, and activity of a busy home.

They don’t just get “socialization time.” They LIVE it every single day. ❤️

This is what family-raised really looks like at Owenadoodle. 🐶🐾

Big milestone for Maisie’s babies! 🐾🤎

We’ve officially transitioned from my bedroom out into the living room! This is such a fun stage as their little world starts getting bigger and they begin experiencing more of the everyday sights, sounds, smells, and activity of our home.

Let the adventures begin! 🥰🐶
