Today’s adventure included something a little different… paddleboards! 😂🙌

At 8 weeks old, we’re continuing to give these puppies opportunities to experience new surfaces, movement, water, instability, and situations that require them to think, problem-solve, and trust themselves.

A paddleboard is PERFECT for that! It moves underneath them, feels completely different than solid ground, and adds the element of water—all while giving them a safe opportunity to figure it out.

The goal is never to make them fearless. It’s to give them opportunities to experience something new, work through that uncertainty, and discover, “Hey… I can do this!” ❤️

These little experiences may seem silly, but they’re all part of building confident, resilient puppies who are ready to take on their big new world.

And considering these babies head home TOMORROW… I’d say this was a pretty fun way to finish out their last full day at Owenadoodle! 🥹🐶💦

And just like that… we blinked. 🥹❤️

Eight weeks of watching these babies grow, learn, explore, gain confidence, develop their little personalities, and become the puppies they are today.

Tomorrow is GO HOME DAY! 🎉

Their bags are getting packed, their families are SO ready, and these babies are about to start the biggest adventure yet — life with their forever families. 🏡❤️

We’ve poured so much into these little ones over the last eight weeks, and while saying goodbye is always bittersweet, THIS is what all of that work is for.

Happy 8 weeks, sweet babies! 🐶🐾

Now go make your families ridiculously happy. ❤️

🐾 PUPPY PUPPY RECALL! 🐾

We start teaching our puppies their “Puppy Puppy” recall at about 4½ weeks old, and now at 8 weeks, these babies are showing off just how well they know it! ❤️

Recall is one of the most important things we work on before our puppies go home. From the very beginning, we teach them that when they hear “Puppy Puppy!” they stop what they’re doing and RUN to us — because coming when called should always mean something really good!

A strong recall isn’t just convenient, it can literally save your dog’s life. An open gate, a dropped leash, heading toward a road… those few seconds matter.

These babies officially head home TOMORROW, and this is one of the many little foundations we hope their families continue building on. 🥹🐾

Keep practicing it. Keep it FUN. And always make coming back to you worth it!

Ruby is living her BEST life! 😂

Apparently, she has discovered that water coming out of a flower pot must be caught at all costs. 💦😂 And today she officially perfected her game of fetch! Her dad kicks the soccer ball, Ruby runs after it, brings it back, sits, waits for the next kick… and they start all over again. 🥹⚽️

I absolutely LOVE getting updates like these and watching our Owenadoodle babies grow up, learn new things, and become such a special part of their families. ❤️

I absolutely LOVE getting updates like this! 🥹❤️🥹

Sweet Luna — previously our Lina(Bianka & Bowen Baby now in a Guardian home)— had her first grooming experience with her family, and I couldn’t be more proud of her! Her groomer said she did absolutely amazing — calm, loving, and tolerant of everything. 🙌🏻

This is exactly why we put SO much time into grooming exposure before our puppies ever leave us. Nail trims, clippers, scissors, brushing, bathing, blow dryers, handling their feet, faces, ears and bodies… all those little exposures add up! ❤️

And apparently Luna loved her groomer, but was a little offended with Mom and Dad for actually leaving her there. 😂 She withheld kisses for the evening, which made me laugh because her mama Bianka is the QUEEN of giving the silent treatment when she feels personally wronged. 🤣 Apparently that part is genetic!

And seriously… LOOK AT HER! 😍 She looks so stinking cute with her fresh haircut!

These are the updates that make my breeder heart so happy. ❤️🐾

Polly — Available ❤️

Polly is still looking for her perfect family, and after her temperament evaluation, I really love the balance we see in this girl.

Polly is a highly confident, highly resilient puppy. She believes in her own abilities, handles stress beautifully, and isn’t easily rattled by new or unexpected things. She is the kind of puppy who is willing to look, smell, investigate, and figure out what something is.

What I especially love is that all of that confidence doesn’t translate into her being pushy with people. Polly is actually very polite in the way she approaches humans. She isn’t immediately jumping all over someone or climbing into their bubble. She gives people space and allows that relationship to develop.

She has a medium level of workability, meaning she’s happy to cooperate and learn with you without being that puppy who is constantly throwing every trick she knows at you hoping you asked for one of them. 😂

Polly is also on the calmer side in her energy level, is comfortable with touch and handling, and showed very little sensitivity to unexpected sounds or sights. She also has a lower prey drive, meaning fast movement isn’t something she feels an overwhelming need to chase—although that is completely separate from play drive, and she absolutely still enjoys being a puppy and playing!

Her human focus is nicely balanced as well. Polly enjoys being with her people and will look to them when she needs them, but she is also confident enough to explore and experience her environment independently before coming back to check in.

She is moderately tenderhearted, so she notices the emotions of the people around her and may want to check in or help, without necessarily taking those emotions completely onto herself.

Overall, Polly gives us a really beautiful combination of confidence, resilience, calmness, independence, and connection to her people. ❤️

Polly is currently AVAILABLE and waiting for the family who feels like hers.
