So thankful we live in such a supportive community! It was a great turnout for the Wallowa County Fair last week and amazing support by our community to purchase the kid's animal projects. Proud we get to be part of the tribe! Such great learning experiences these kids will carry throughout their lives.

In observance of the Independence Day holiday weekend, Double Arrow Veterinary Clinic will be closed on Friday, July 3rd so our team can spend time with family and friends. ❤️🤍💙

We will resume our normal business hours on Monday, July 6th.

The 4th of July can be a stressful time for many pets. If your pet struggles with noise anxiety, now is a great time to prepare!

We are very excited to officially introduce the newest member of our veterinary team — our new Associate DVM, Dr. Grace Devos! 🐾🩺

Some of you may recognize her already! Before joining us as a veterinarian, Dr. Grace spent two spring breaks and two summers working alongside our team as a veterinary technician. She has been a familiar face around the clinic, and we are thrilled that she has now returned in a new role.

Dr. Grace brings a passion for patient care, a love for our clients and their animals, and a heart for serving our community. We are so grateful to have her as part of the Double Arrow Veterinary Clinic family!

BEWARE of your dog eating mushrooms! We treated Bailey, an 8 week old puppy, that got into this mushroom (Panther Cap Aminita) this weekend. She started showing neurological signs (muscle tremors, weakness, unable to lift her head) within a couple hours after eating the mushroom. The owners didn't realize what she was chewing on until later. By the time she arrived at the clinic, 3 1/2 hours after eating the mushroom, it was too late to induce vomiting. We treated her with oral activated charcoal and IV fluids. Fortunately she responded well and was completely normal in about 9 hours. The severity of mushroom toxicity depends on the type of mushroom and how much they ingest. Be sure to keep a close eye on your pup when you're out walking in the woods or even your backyard!
