Hey everyone! I haven't posted an update on my husband in a while so here goes. First and most importantly...he is currently CANCER FREE!!!! He had his latest CT scan and brain MRI 2 weeks ago at UAB, zero signs of cancer. The biopsies he had at the time of surgery back in March showed no spread to his lymph nodes, and his bloodwork has continued to be close to perfect.

He has finished his chemotherapy and started immunotherapy as of 2 weeks ago as well. We will still be traveling to UAB at least every 3 weeks for the next 6 months for his infusions. He's also being scheduled for gallbladder surgery soon, also at UAB, so once again I'm asking for your continued patience with me. I know it has been a hassle with me having to move my schedule around to accomodate our trips to B'ham, and you have all been absolutely amazing. The support you have all given my family has been tremendous.

Some of you have cried with me, supported me when I was just completely overwhelmed, prayed with me, and you've all made sure I knew you cared. The patience and love you've all shown has honestly redeemed a lot of my faith in people. I cannot express enough how much you have all meant to me.

This journey is far from over, but we are winning the fight against cancer. He is staying strong and we are keeping our spirits up. Thank you all for being the amazing people that you are. I honestly could not ask for better clients (and for some friends) than you.

I've had an influx of new clients, so just thought I'd do a post about me to tell you a bit about myself. I'm a mom, a wife, a veteran of the US Coast Guard, and my husband is also a US Coast Guard and Army veteran. My son in law is active duty Army, an apache pilot to be exact. So I'm well versed in both the life of a service member as well as a dependent.

I've been involved in rescue off and on for over 30 years. My specialty is working with shy, fearful pups who may just need a bit extra to help them along. I purchased my business back in 2015, and started learning how to groom that year. Over the years, I realized my passion for working with frightened and anxious pups could be intertwined with my business. I lost interest in being the busiest shop in town, and chose instead to downsize so that I could devote more time and attention to each pup that walked through my doors.

During Covid, my husband helped me realize that dream. He built a salon on our 9 acres located between Enterprise and Clayhatchee. Working just down the driveway from our home allowed me to lower my overhead expenses, so I'm not forced to have a large volume of dogs through the shop everyday just to pay the rent. I could slow down, take the time the pups needed, and provide them with a quiet, low stress space instead of a large room full of kennels, barking dogs and noise.

My passion is canine welfare, and helping owners give their babies the best life possible. For me, grooming isn't just about the haircut or bath, but about the experience as a whole. I strive to make each pup as calm, comfortable and relaxed as possible throughout their visit.

Anyhow, that's just a bit about me. I'm so very thankful to all of my clients, both new and long time folks, who allow me to play a small part in their furbabies lives. Thank you. *including a pic of one of my 4 legged kiddos just because*

Call or text to schedule your babies spa day!

07/16/2026

Morning folks! Just a reminder that texting is the fastest way to reach me. Between the high volume of spam calls and working solo, I simply cannot answer the phone every time it rings, especially while I'm working on a pup. Another benefit of texting is it allows me to go back and review when I update my schedule at the end of the day. It may take me a few days to have time to return voicemails, but I can usually respond to texts pretty quickly.

Good morning Wiregrass! Just a quick heads up that I have openings for new client meet and greets next week!

Good morning folks. Ok, most of you know my husband has lung cancer. He's doing well, excellent prognosis. Thank you to those that have inquired. That being said, my plate is FULL.

I am trying to keep up the best I can, but it's a lot. I am taking new clients, however my response time to requests is delayed. I do not answer calls unless you are already in my contact list, strictly because I do not have time. I also receive a TON of spam calls. If you'd like to schedule or inquire about services, please leave a voicemail or send a text. Texts get answered faster, simply because I can do that in between other things. Phone calls require more focus than I can give much of the time.

I am setting aside time once a week to respond to voicemails for grooming. That's the best I can do right now, I apologize if that is not satisfactory.

For new clients. I do not schedule last minute appointments for new clients. I require a meet and greet (free of charge) so that I can assess your pup and we can discuss grooming goals in a stress free environment. You will also be provided with an estimated grooming cost at this time. I've found this works best for me, the dog and you. All dogs are required to be placed on a pre-booked schedule, which you and I will decide upon after the first grooming appointment. This schedule is based primarily on your dogs individual needs. This is also when pricing will be determined. If you choose to not be placed on a rotating schedule, please understand that your pricing may reflect that or I may refuse services at my discretion, depending on the individual situation.

In short, please text for a faster response if you're inquiring about grooming. I will be able to respond sooner, and you're less likely to get lost in the shuffle of doctors and spam calls. It also helps provide me a record of who, what and when for each conversation. Thank you, and I hope you all have an absolutely fantastic day!

Phone issue has been resolved! I should've done a Google search before I posted. 🤦‍♀️ Anyhow, all is good in the hood on our end as far as phone service! (Texts are still best, however.)

I have openings this week for meet and treats for new clients! I understand that leaving your babies with someone new can be worrisome, for both you and your pup. My goal is to remove as much of that worry as possible. During the meet and treat, you'll be able to ask any questions you may have, observe the workspace, and see how your pup responds to me and the grooming process as I assess their comfort level with handling and various grooming tools. You'll be provided with a much more accurate estimated price and time needed. Most importantly, however, is that your pup will have the opportunity to become familiar with me and the space in a low pressure setting. This can help set your pup up for success in grooming! Call or text today!
