A week in photos—Friday ➡️ Monday

Horsemanship classes have been working hard on bend and applying it to working cows—as well as remembering to stop before turning 😅

Opal, and a few others, have been working on hobble breaking to add another layer of life skills/safety precaution to the MSU herd and my own herd.

The snow decided to stay for two days, so we took schooling outside and made sure to have a dose of fun with the sleds ☃️

2025 has been somethin’!

I’m happy to be wrapping up the year in a place where I belong—location, career, industry, etc.—a gargantuan improvement from feeling as if I were somewhere in the Upside Down in the recent past.

It feels good to be teaching.
It feels good to be working a lot of horses.
It feels good to be building.

In the spirit of picking a word for 2025–I’m choosing BUILD.

2025’s word was GO.
2024’s was DO.

It’s time to take the experiences from the past two years and make them into something to carry the momentum, in lieu of making my own waves to ride.

Elementary school is is full swing 🚌📚✏️

The big ponies (Roja and Mae) are having a break from school and are currently on loose work or longeing before the next semester starts.

Opal has been having lots of new experiences in the past couple weeks, and has made a ton of progress with her overall confidence 🙌🏼

Yearlings and weanlings have also been heavily incorporated into the work rotation.

Spending a lot of time around the equine youths has definitely revived my sense of humor 😅😂🦄
