Letters from Hershey (continued)
Bob and I have had a wonderful week so far. Monday we went to Biscuit Head on Biltmore Avenue where we saw a very special friend Alexa. Bob tells me that Alexa is a hero and she is very nice to us. Bob always brags about Alexa so I know that she has a lot of courage. Yesterday another one of Bob's good friends came by the house for a brief visit. This friend is Judy and Judy is in her last year of Pharmacy School. We are always excited to see Judy. We took Judy for a walk over to Home Depot. Bob and I have family over there and it is a big family. Thanks Alexa and Judy for making Bob so happy.

Bob and i entertained a special visitor since Thursday AM. My sin twister Pritzi FKA Princess. We went for lots of walks and many visits to Home Depot. Roads were very icy Sunday evening. Not bad looking for a couple of old dogs, eh! We are both almost, if not already 16. But we gave Bob a run for his money.

I left Bob to go visit my sin Twister with our friends in W'ville. Bob has to go out of town tomorrow. I hope he will have a safe trip. Some of you may not believe this, but, this dog thinks Bob is a really nice guy. I really don't care what other dos/people say!

Hershey has been with me for almost 7 years and we estimated her age when I got her to be close to 8. She has been a very faithful, loyal companion. She takes me everywhere I go. About a month ago while on a hike with my friend Bob Riddle and his Golden Retriever, Kona, Hershey was exhausted after we had gone 2 miles. We turned around and came back out, As a result of her reduced vitality we are only taking short walks (less than 1-1/2 to 2) miles at a time and those walks are early morning or after it cools off a little in the evening. I don't think that Hershey will complete the year, but as long as she is happy and pain free she will remain by my side.
