Sometimes people jump into a hobby. Their passion overtakes them and everything seems to happen all at once. Research is important. But itās hard when there are so many sources saying so many things. Everyday we learn something new. Some are taught by those with wisdom, others may learn by trial and error. Nobody is perfect. When I started this isopod journey, I was very excited to find a community full of amazing people who also cherished isopods. I soon learned that this community has dark sides to it as well⦠I have been ridiculed and put in the spotlight for my various mistakes that I have made. What Iāve learned is that not everyone is going to be āon your team.ā Not everyone is going to be there to support you when you need it most. There is too much selfishness and hate in a hobby full of love and learning. My whole journey has been on camera, and I havenāt hidden my deaths, births, or mistakes from anyone. And in turn, I am known as someone who āshouldnāt be a leader is this hobbyā. My only goal is to encourage others to grow and trust in themselves. This world isnāt always easy to cope with. And itās important that there is a support system. A way to communicate our flaws so we can find our strengths. Keeping isopods for me has brought me much joy. And itās sad to think that joy can be stripped away just from one persons negativity. Just to be clear, Iām not here for the drama. The fact is: it needs to stop. We are all on the same side. I usually donāt write long posts like this, but itās come to my attention that some things just need to be said. Everyone learns and grows different. The most important thing is that we are kind and empathetic towards one another, thatās what makes a community strong. Iām always here if you ever have questions, but unfortunately I am not an expert. Just someone doing a great job at keeping isopods. Iām an enthusiast, I love keeping isopods, and I shall continue to do so with as much love, honesty, and respect that I can. If you ever have questions, never be afraid to reach out to me directly. I donāt have all the answers, but I can help you learn from my mistakes. ā¤ļø Jax
