🚨I know what you’re thinking “Here we go again!” and trust me we are thinking the same thing too😅 It’s time we have a little refresher on our current cancellation policies. This is a long one so please stick around and read til the end!
Cancelling appointments without 24 hours notice or cancellations day-of along with no shows are starting to become a bigger problem. We understand things happen and life happens and are not totally insensitive to that fact. We have always tried to work with everyone and be reasonable. But you have to understand that this job is how we pay our bills, keep our business running, and support ourselves and our families. Our time is very valuable and each time slot is catered to yours and your dogs needs. All we ask is that we are treated with respect and you respect our time as we ALWAYS respect your time when booking appointments and when your dog is in our care. While we do love our jobs, we are also running a business in which we are very proud of and would like to continue doing what we love for each and every one of your pups. Which means we have to become stricter on our policies so we do not keep getting taken advantage of.
We have had lately the “Hey I totally forgot about the appointment today but can you just squeeze me in next week??” We cannot tell you how frustrating this has become because not only have we lost an income for that day, we are also expected to “squeeze you in” to our already full schedules so your dog doesn’t have to go longer without a haircut potentially leaving them in worse condition for next time. Which puts more stress and frustration on us. This is also happening with clients who have multiple dogs, large breed dogs, multiple large breed dogs, poodle/doodle or high- maintenance coat services. It’s becoming incredibly tough to lose an income on multiple dogs that were scheduled for that day and can no longer fill your spot without proper notice. We groom a lot of bigger breeds that take up larger time slots in our schedule and the last minute cancellations or not showing up is taking a toll on us because it directly affects us financially. In addition, texting us at 10pm the night before your 8am or 9am appointment the next morning is also becoming very frustrating for us because we are most likely sleeping and resting up for the next day😅and does not give us time to fill the appointment/s you have scheduled. And yes, all of the above are happening on a weekly basis which is why we are making this post🙂
Our policies are in place to protect ourselves and our business from these things happening so frequently and lost wages. We understand true emergencies happen and those situations will be treated differently upon our discretion.
📌So our policy states:
* Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service.
* Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged 100% of the scheduled service cost.
📍Any Client with:
* 1 no show or late cancellation may be required to place a non-refundable deposit towards their next appointment. In addition any fees must be paid before booking the next appointment.
* 2 no shows or repeated late cancellations may result in refusal of service .
📍Late Arrival Policy
* Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be considered a missed appointment and subject to full no-show charges.
* Late fees will be applied to late arrivals if we are still able to groom your dog as our schedule and other pups schedules are affected by late arrivals.
📍We require a working credit card on file for all clients and new clients from here on out.
As always we absolutely love our clients and want to provide the best care and quality service to everyone and with these policies in place we are hoping to create a smoother running salon for everyone. In addition, please don’t be angry with us for enforcing these policies😅 Thank you for respecting our time and other clients awaiting appointments!
