Grab a picnic, bring your people, and join us on the Farm for an evening of community, live music, and transformative storytelling. 🎬🎶

On Thursday, September 24, we're screening Rock Faced It All and What the Hands Do - two powerful documentaries about climbing, resilience, and community.

Gates open at 6pm with live music from Emma Sullivan, a 7:30pm panel discussion, and the screening kicks off at 8pm.

Bring your low-back chairs, picnic blanket and nosh to settle in for a beautiful night under the stars. ✨

It's that time of year again - Sukkot is here! 🌾

Join us Friday, October 2nd from 4-7pm for Sukkot Harvest Shabbat - an evening where two of our favorite Farm traditions become one.

Our annual Sukkot Harvest Festival and Great Outdoor Shabbat are joining forces this year for one festive evening honoring the ancient Jewish agricultural holiday of Sukkot.

Come as you are, whether this is your hundredth Shabbat or your very first. There will be live music drifting through the field, activities under the Sukkah, garden wandering, a farm tour, tabling partners, and food vendors to try - plus space to spread out a blanket and enjoy a picnic dinner from home.

August's Farm Film & Music Series is this Thursday! We’re screening the inspiring documentary "Sequoias of the Sea", which tells the story of Mendocino County’s disappearing kelp forests and captures a community’s determination to protect the kelp and imagine a more sustainable future.

As the sun sets over our own slice of the Pacific, you’ll have the chance to connect with tabling partners, hear from a panel of experts including filmmaker Ana Blanco, and enjoy a bring-your-own picnic dinner right here on the Farm.

We’re growing our team! 🌱 Coastal Roots Farm is hiring for three roles that will help strengthen our programs, community, and impact.

Chief Advancement Officer: We’re seeking a relationship-driven leader to guide the Farm’s advancement strategy, deepen donor partnerships, and build the philanthropic support that will sustain our impact for years to come.

Director of Programs: Lead the strategy and vision behind the Farm’s programs, bringing together environmental education, Jewish life, and community experiences that connect people to land, learning, and one another.

Development Coordinator: Join our Philanthropy team to support donor stewardship, gift processing, grants, fundraising events, and the behind-the-scenes systems that help turn generosity into impact.

In partnership with Vista Community Clinic and the City of Oceanside - Government, Coastal Roots Farm launched a new monthly produce distribution at Libby Lake Resource Center.

Each month, the site serves more than 120 families, primarily migrant and Spanish-speaking households.

Coastal Roots Farm provides fresh, organic produce for half of the families served, demonstrating how partnerships are essential to meeting the growing need for hunger-relief programs.

Behind the Scenes at Coastal Roots Farm! 🌱

Our chickens getting VERY excited about our latest row of cover crops, meanwhile, out in the fields, the winter squash are sizing up and settling into the incoming cooler days. Not to mention our peppers are coming in hot!

It's that in-between-seasons stretch where you can feel everything shifting - mornings are crisper, the light's changing, and the to-do list never stops growing (kind of like the kids who visit us, every group seems taller than the last!).
