Zamboni helped me welcome Rylie to the Momentum Program today….. this “little” pup is such a worker . I can’t wait to see where her training takes her! We are heading straight for scentwork (duh!) to build environmental confidence and wire her brain for composed thinking, problem solving , and emotional regulation. Today was her second time working odor and I can’t believe the natural skill set she has to work with. She’s going to be pretty fun to watch! Miley came nose to nose with a baby raccoon hiding under the car this morning !! She dropped her bumper and crouched down to investigate …. I walk over and say “what’s under the car , Mi” and bend over to see this little guy! I called Miley away and she listened with no issue…..

The whole car ride to work I was so relieved that one of the other pups hadn’t spotted him first because who knows how that would have went down. Then I decided to get Miley a pup cup. What a GOOD girl! She also saved the baby raccoon because I would not have known he was there before moving the car.

Interrupting from play is a requirement for continued play in the momentum program! What Moana lacks in size she makes up for in tenacity but gravity still is a factor so I need to trust that the dogs will pump the brakes when I say so. Ebbe and Ziggy are great teachers and very good listeners!
