.My daughter lived her life defined by a gentle spirit and an extraordinary capacity for love—most notably for the most. vulnerable of the world, The elderly, children and animals. From early childhood she helped by welcoming every newborn puppy into our home, many time.assisting dams.giving birth, helping to dry off puppies and always, holding them close,.She helped to imprint every foal born on our farm, and sat with any animal that needed extra care for hours at a time, she could.always be found feeding backyard birds, filling and scrubbing water troughs,.even making sure the 53 pound family tortoise Sebastian, always had fresh supply, despite the amount of times he tipped.the bowls because of his weight, and countless other beings on our farm.you could not find a better steward for animals....Samantha believed that all creatures deserved kindness. Because of her compassionate heart, our home was rarely quiet and never lonely, usually filled with the pitter-patter of paws and the contented sounds.of cherished animal companions, Samantha especially loved her dog Mishkha, her Dales pony Jewel and her cherished Pigeon Homer, who came off the tough streets of Philadelphia with an injured wing..Homer would.sleep.right at the top of her head, and flew free around the farm , Following her from the sky above, some thought that very rare and unusual,.but those that truly knew.Samantha knew how much light she had . My extraordinary neighbor has written a book and dedicated to our tragically deceased daughter.. My deepest gratitude to you , Susan Bolinger: A portion of the proceeds will be donated to "Philly Pigeon Rescue" a charity that was dear to animal-loving Samantha’s heart.
