How cute are these snuffle mats! These fun enrichment activities give our cats a chance to explore, use their natural instincts, think, learn, and have FUN — all while keeping those curious little minds busy. 🐾

Our cats deserve more than just a cozy place to nap (although they’re VERY good at that, too! 😹). Enrichment helps make their days more exciting and gives them opportunities to be curious, confident, and socially engaged.

Please meet Vivian! 🧡

At 4 years old, this beautiful orange girl is one special gem! Orange female cats are less common, which makes Vivian even more unique … but it’s truly the way she brings so much life, love, and personality wherever she goes that makes her truly shine. ✨

Her name, Vivian, means “alive” or “full of life,” and we can’t think of a more perfect name for this sweet girl. Vivian is full of affection and has plenty to say! She’s a true close talker (or should we say close meower? 😹), and she’s a BIG leaner ... always finding a way to get just a little closer to her person. 🥰

She doesn’t just want to be near you … she wants to be part of your life. We know she’ll fill your days with companionship, conversation, cuddles, and so much love. 🧡

We hope you and your four-legged family members have a happy, healthy, and SAFE holiday weekend! ❤️🤍💙

With BBQs, gatherings, fireworks, and hot weather, remember to keep pets cool, hydrated, secure, and away from grills, harmful foods, and loud celebrations. Give them a quiet place to retreat, and make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date. 🐾

A little preparation goes a long way in keeping everyone safe! ⭐️

Please meet Coco … a 3-year-old entrancing girl who is showing off her very best look: fresh-out-of-the-pool fabulous! 🐾💦

Just look at this girl with her friend Liz, one of our wonderful volunteers. That post-pool-do? Magnifique! 🇫🇷

And speaking of international charm and intrigue… clearly, this girl's passport has a few stamps in it. There’s the French flair of her name, the Irish (wolfhound mix) charm written all over her face, and perhaps the soul of an Italian soprano waiting to burst into a dramatic aria at any moment. Add those wonderfully giraffe-like legs and a rich sandy coat that looks like it belongs in a sun-drenched landscape, and we’re pretty sure this girl has seen the world ... or at least she was born ready to!

Beautiful, mysterious, elegant, exotic, big hearted, and just a little bit goofy ... Coco is one unforgettable lass. ❤️

💙 Remembering Pobby (formerly Benji) 🌈🐾

We were so sad to hear this week of the loss of Pobby, formerly known as Benji, who crossed the rainbow bridge.

Pobby was adopted just months after Paws Crossed opened to the public in 2016. We hope you’ll take a moment to read about the wonderful life and all the adventures he shared with his mom and family.

From his heartbroken mom:

“It is with a heavy heart that I share that Pobby (formerly known as Benji, adopted 11/13/2016) passed away this past Thursday from aggressive pancreatic cancer that spread to his liver. When I adopted him from Paws Crossed I was told he was 13 months old at the time, so he was just two months away from age 11. I had him nearly 10 years. I adopted him when I was 20 and I am now 30. He was a big dog (over 60 lbs) and I understand big dogs only live 10-12 years, so I am thankful he got to live his life expectancy, but it still doesn’t feel long enough. He was by my side through the second half of my undergraduate degree, two masters degrees, my wedding, and becoming a mom to a (human) boy and girl. I am devastated but also beyond grateful that Paws Crossed led me to my heart dog. I truly believe he and I were meant to be together.”

And we believe they were, too. Through all changes that life brought, Pobby and mom's love remember stedfast!!! ❤️

Nearly 10 years of love, adventures, and memories that will last a lifetime. We are so grateful Paws Crossed was able to help Pobby find the family he was always meant to have.

Please save a thought tonight for Pobby’s family, who will always miss him, but will forever cherish the sweet memories they made together. 🌈🐾💙
