Who We Are:
Southern Tier Animal Control is dedicated to promote public safety and animal care through sheltering and adoptions of stray and unwanted dogs/animals, and the promotion of responsible pet ownership. This includes the operation of the Dog/Animal Shelter in an efficient manner, implementation of educational programs in dog/animal welfare, enforce State and local dog/animal laws, care and population control, and providing residents of contracted towns in the community protection from diseased and aggressive animals.
What We Are Looking For:
We are currently seeking passionate, dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. We are looking for candidates who can bring expertise in different skills, and who represent the diverse communities we serve.
Board Member Responsibilities:
* Time Commitment: Serve a life time term, attending 12 board meetings per year, plus an annual strategic planning meeting . Members are also encouraged to participate on at least one committee.
* Advocacy: Act as an ambassador for Southern Tier Animal Control in the broader community.
