Congratulations to Waffles, Molly, Bruno, Alphie, and Mango! 🐾

These teams spent the last several weeks learning together, working through distractions, and strengthening communication on both ends of the leash.

Advanced class may be over, but there’s always more to learn, more adventures to have, and more opportunities to build your bond.

Not everyone got the memo.

While we’re over here thinking about Monday, some dogs are busy perfecting their sunbathing skills. ☀️🐾

Amora says take a little time today to relax, get outside, and enjoy the simple things.

☀️ Summer reminder ☀️ Hot weather doesn’t have to mean staying home, but it does mean making a few adjustments.

🐾 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
🌳 Stick to shady routes when possible
💧 Bring water for both you and your dog
🔥 Check pavement before heading out
🚶‍♂️ Slow down and take breaks as needed
🏡 Save the big adventures for cooler days

Remember, the air temperature isn’t the same as the ground temperature. If the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

A little planning goes a long way toward keeping summer outings safe, comfortable, and fun. Here’s some links to helpful summer heat information for you and your dog. Stay cool! 💙🧡

Turns out good manners don’t just happen in the classroom. 😉 Aisles, mirrors, people, carts, and plenty of distractions.

Our Intermediate students finished their last class with a field trip where they practiced focus, calm behavior, and teamwork around all the sights, sounds, and distractions of a busy store.

We’re so proud of these teams and all the work they’ve put in. Congratulations BDDT INTERMEDIATE GRADUATES Mochi, Anakin and Reika! 💙🧡🐾

☀️🐾 Enrichment Friday 🐾☀️

When it’s too hot to spend hours outside, it’s a great time to break out the frozen Kongs.

A few ideas to get you started:

🫐 Plain yogurt + blueberries
🎃 Pumpkin puree + kibble
🍌 Mashed banana + peanut butter
🥕 Wet food + carrots
🧀 Cottage cheese + a few treats
🥣 Your dog’s regular meal soaked and frozen

You don’t need fancy ingredients to make enrichment fun. A frozen Kong can help keep dogs busy, encourage licking and sniffing, and give them something productive to do while staying cool indoors.
