Not every dog is ready to be your best friend right away, and that’s okay.

Klaus is trained for home protection, so our introduction was a little more careful than the average meet-and-greet.

We took our time, let him get comfortable, and gave him the space to decide when he was ready to trust me.

Then came the butt scratches. 😂

That’s when I knew I had officially passed the test.

One happy dog, one relieved p**p scooper, and one very important lesson: earning a dog’s trust is always worth taking the time to do it right. ❤️

The easy-to-see p**p is only part of the job.

We’re always checking the hard-to-reach spots, along fences, under decks, behind sheds, and anywhere else your dog likes to do their business.

We scoop it all up and clean up after ourselves so when we’re done, it should look like we were never there.

That’s the difference between just picking up p**p and doing a thorough pet p**p pickup.

We had a great time at the Summit Pacific PEAK health fair this last weekend talking with dog owners about something we all want for our pets: longer, healthier, happier lives.

Our “Every Step Matters” display challenged dog owners to choose one small step they could take to improve their dog’s health, whether that meant more exercise, learning a new trick, brushing their teeth, or paying closer attention to their body condition.

And those jars of treats? 🦴

Every treat represents a pledge someone made for their dog. ❤️

It was awesome to see so many people take a moment to think about what small change they could make for their four-legged family member.

The leaves might be piling up, but they couldn’t quite hide this pile!

When dog p**p gets left behind, a few leaves can make it easy to miss. That’s where we come in. We’ll find it, scoop it, and leave the yard ready for the next week.

One of the best parts of the job is getting to meet all the great dogs we clean up after. Connor definitely seems to have made a friend here!

The p**p may be why we’re there, but the dogs are what make the job fun. 🐾💩
