Our Spring training class has been postponed.

Interested in becoming a therapy dog handler?

We are tentatively planning our next 12-week training class to start in Fall 2026.

The class fee is $300.00, which covers the training program, handler guide, therapy dog vest, and test fee with our parent organization, Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. Classes will be held on Sundays from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

If your dog has completed Family Dog 1 and Family Dog 2 training and exhibits good leash manners, please email us at [email protected]. We will contact you with additional information.

Our next 12-week training class is tentatively scheduled for April 2026 at Dog Essentials in Vernon.

If your dog has successfully completed Family Dog I and Family Dog II training and can demonstrate good leash etiquette, please email us at [email protected]. We will be scheduling interviews with candidates in March of 2026.

Today was the last class! We practiced everything we've learned and went through the exercises that are on the evaluation!! We were tired by the end but we have come so far!! Next stop...Evaluation!

We are coming to the end of training. One more class before evaluations!! Today we did each part of the evaluation as it will happen on the big day. We did this so we know if there is anything our handlers need to work on. We know training isn't a single day, that we train for our whole lives, but we've learned so many new things that we want to be sure we have them down pat.
