🐾 Exciting News for Our Cat Families! As Ellington Center Animal Clinic begins expanding services, we will soon by open on select Fridays — and we’re dedicating the entire day to our feline friends.
Feline Fridays offer a calm environment with 30 minute wellness and annual exam appointments with low stress handling to help your cat feel comfortable.
We can’t wait to welcome both our current patients and new feline faces.

Week 1 of new ownership is in full swing here at ECAC! Dr. Chris and Colleen are so excited to begin serving your beloved pets of Ellington and surrounding towns. They look forward to meeting everyone and becoming part of the Ellington community. The caring staff that you have come to know and love remain at your service. Ellington Center Animal Clinic is proud to remain privately owned and focused on providing exceptional and compassionate care.

Dr. Joe Prichard founded the Ellington Center Animal Clinic and opened the doors on Sept. 20, 2000. He is officially retiring as of Sept 18, 2026.

I want to thank all of the clients over the past 26 years. Our team shared the joy of helping to provide the highest quality medical care that we could over much of the past three decades. It is with gratitude to all the clients – past and present - that I announce my retirement. The practice will remain a privately owned clinic and the new owners of the clinic are Ms. Colleen Lazzareschi and Dr. Christopher Gargamelli. Together, they will bring the energy and vision to help the practice continue to grow and thrive.
The clinic will continue to operate as usual, with Dr. Pawlowski, Dr. Barringer and Dr. Powell on the team with the same support staff under the new leadership. Watch for exciting developments in the coming weeks and months.
