In 2024, I went from full-time to part-time farrier to pursue a career in another industry. So, I followed my schedule, which led me to each farm for one last visit to take care of the trimming and shoeing, inform them of the changes, and connect them with capable farriers. I pulled out of each driveway, some of which I had pulled in and out of every 6 weeks for 15 plus years, and honestly, left a little bit of me at each stop.
In 2025, after 18 months of learning a new business and realizing I could be successful and provide for my family in my new opportunity, I also came to understand that I truly missed the farrier industry and wouldn't be happy doing anything else. I guess 25 years of being a farrier ingrains some things in you that you just can’t get away from. So, I quit my job and went back full-time with my farrier business. I've been blessed with great new customers and a growing book of business this year
Here's to a great 2026 for Foothills Forge Farrier Service. Looking forward to providing quality hoof care and service to current and new customers and attending clinics and continued education thru the year.
