I now present Charlie’s weekly injury update.

Charlie got his cast changed today at the Best Friends Mobile Veterinarian Clinic with vet tech Alex. He got a good report as usual. Healing is looking great. She always does her best with the cast artwork. She put on a very fitting piece of art with a western cowboy boot. Our town is celebrating our annual world famous Ellensburg Rodeo. Whoop whoop. Thank you to my Pawsome friends who have sent nice healing messages and encouragement.

Update on Charlie.

Charlie got a good report at the vet this morning and is always a very good patient. He gets his cast changed once a week at Best Friends Veterinary Clinic from Alex since he fractured it falling off the back of the couch. Charlie underwent surgery at WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital on August 12th. He would like to say thank you to all his Pawsome friends who have sent him well wishes.

Happy International Dog Day August 26th, 2026. Bridget, Charlie and Penny are spoiled and loved every minute. May all the Dogs feel the love today and everyday.

Charlie has been healing well on bed rest. Dr Casey Kellar at Best Friends Veterinary Clinic got a sneak peak at his leg and a good report was given. Vet Tech Alex did a wonderful job on the re-casting. Thank you friends for wishing him well, he is starting to test my limits since he wants to run and jump. Side note going back, Charlie tore ligaments, has a fracture in the ankle and had surgery at WSU on August 12th. He was a good boy and loved by all staff.

Keep your paws crossed for Charlie, who is going to be treated at WSU in Washington state for a leg fracture. Poor little guy fell off the back of the couch through the smallest opening to the floor.
