Thursday morning the weather was absolutely spectacular for the USDF Region Six Dressage Championships hosted by Devonwood Equestrian Center in Sherwood, Oregon. In the morning Sun, Valentino and I competed in the fourth level dressage championships open division. We’ve been working hard on mastering the fine nuances within my fingers and seat bones to keep him supple and connected during the complicated movements. So pleased with our performance this morning. Finishing third overall in the fourth level championship open division. Now we change gears and start preparing for Pre-Saint George championship open division held Friday morning. We have only performed this test twice in competition so qualifying for the championships was a surprise. We look forward to doing the test tomorrow and gaining more confidence at the FEI level.

Enjoy the video highlights from our Prix St. George debuted.
It's been an honor producing my partner Valentino aka. "Brody" from a 3 year old to his current Prix St. Georg level as a 9 year old. At Bello Acres Dressage show we recently debuted his first Prix St. George test. Even with a few green horse bobbles we were second the first day. By the second day we ironed out some Bobbles and he finished first. In addition, he obtained the required qualifying scores for the GAIG Regional Dressage Championships at PSG coming this October and my last required score for my USDF silver medal. Brody and I could not have done this without the help of my wonderful husband "Richard", trainers Anna Marek and Mike Osinski, my assistant Ella Myers plus support from friends and family. Thanks to one and all...

Because of the grant I received from “The Dressage Foundation”, I was blessed to experience a perfect partnership with my horse Brody. A goal I did not have on my winter training list unexpectedly came true. You would think my experience would of happened in the show ring but instead it happened in my last lesson with Anna before heading back to Washington State from Florida. In the video you will see clips of my lesson. Look at the background next to the arena I was schooling in. Brody and I were able to block out 4 cranes, drills, and welders all erecting the new indoor arena at Diasti Stables. If it was not for the donations made to the dressage foundation, I would have never tested the feel of how “correct” dressage training can build a bond of trust. Even in the middle of a construction zone we were never distracted from our ride…..
