Meet Pancha (aka Panchalita) 🎃🧡

Some dogs just make you feel calmer the moment you sit beside them. Pancha is 100% one of those dogs.

This 8½-year-old, 91-pound Presa Canario/Cane Corso mix (we think) is the most grounded, gentle big girl. To us, she's like a guardian angel on your toughest day. We call her Panchalita because she’s a big soppy puppy at heart!

Pancha has been waiting for her family since July, first at Yakima Humane Society and now with us since September. At an adoption event in Yakima she met another dog, goats and even a donkey, and stayed totally chill. She also decided she was done walking and lay down on the floor to soak up the attention instead. That’s our stubborn girl!

Pancha has an old injury that gives her an unusual walk, and has arthritis, so long hikes aren’t her thing. What she is looking for is a soft bed, a slower pace, and a family to love on her at home. She also loves just lying in the grass on a warm day. No cats or small animals though please... she still loves a chase!

Adult neutered male was brought to us microchipped, but unfortunately, with no owner information.

Our pet food pantry is running low, and we could use a little community love to help keep local pets fed! ❤️🐶🐱

We welcome any brand of wet or dry dog and cat food: Every donation makes a difference!

A few reminders:

- Food must be in its original packaging.
- We cannot accept prescription food.
- Every bag or can helps a family care for their beloved pets during tough times.

🐾 Adoption Update: Clarke is now Jolene! 🐾

Remember Clarke from our website? The sweet golden Lab/Shepherd/Corgi mix who, along with her sister Lois, followed a stranger an incredible 40 miles before being brought to us?

Just two weeks after arriving at the shelter, Clarke found her forever home, and she has a new name to go with it: Jolene! 💛

Her new family sent us the loveliest photos of her settling in. Not only is she getting along with her two cat siblings, she's also LOVING her new onesie and much needed snuggles on a sofa. Cuteness overload! 🐶

From a 40-mile journey to a cozy couch with her new hoomans, this is exactly the kind of ending we hope for every animal.

Thank you to Jolene’s new family for giving her the loving home she deserves, and for sharing these super special moments with us. ❤️

He is a neutered male, very friendly. We are thinking he is about 9 to 11 years old. He is microchipped however his contact information is out of service. If you recognize this dog, please call us at (509) 925-7387. Proof of ownership will be required to reclaim. He will be in our care until he is reunited with his owner.

🍁 Fall is better with a shelter dog by your side! 🐾

The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp, and our pups are ready to enjoy every bit of it! 🍂 Give one of our shelter dogs a break from kennel life with a little fresh air, some exercise, and a new friend for the day.

🐶 Meet our some of our faces! We have lots of adorable dogs waiting for their chance to get out and explore. Some of our pups have been waiting patiently for a while and would especially love a little extra one-on-one time.

Whether you have an hour to spare or just want to make a dog's day a little brighter, we'd love for you to stop by and take a pup for a walk!

🚗 DOGS — DRIVE-THRU:
Dogs will be seen drive-thru style in the empty parking lot located on the side of our building. Please remain in your vehicle with your dog and follow staff directions as you move through the line.
🐱 CATS — PARK & LINE UP:
Cat owners will need to park their vehicles first, then bring their cat and form a line along the side of our building leading toward our front doors. Cats and their owners will be brought inside in groups at a time for services.
⚠️ CAT SAFETY REQUIREMENT:
ALL CATS MUST BE SECURED IN AN APPROPRIATE CAT CARRIER. For their safety, please do not bring cats loose, carried in your arms, or on a leash only.
💳 PAYMENT:
We accept cash or card. If paying with cash, please have exact change when we start the event.
No tricks—just vaccines, microchips, and healthier pets! 👻💉🐾
