Good luck to everyone heading out for the pheasant hunting opener.
Wishing you safe hunting, good weather, and plenty of birds.

And remember, take care of those hunting partners! If your dog gets hurt while out in the field, don't hesitate to get them checked out. If your're bringing your dog into the clinic, please let the clinic know that they were injued while hunting so the team can be prepared to help them quickly and appropriately.

Too wet to combine? No problem!

When the fields are too wet to get the combines rolling, it might just be the perfect time to get some cow work done!

Give us a call to get your herd's preg-checking, vaccinations, or other fall herd work on the schedule. A little rain can make for a great opportunity to get ahead before the weather clears and harvest kicks back into
gear.

Stay safe, stay dry, and we'll see you in the
pasture!

Bella came to visit us today for her pre-puppy groom and x-ray. How many puppies do you think she will have?

In classic cow dog fashion, we had to play sounds of cows mooing to get a cute picture of her.

The clinic will be closed today for Labor Day. If you have an emergency please call the emergency number.

Dr. Erin and Dr. Kayla traveled to Minneapolis this week to attend the annual conference of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, where they spent the past few days gaining valuable continuing education in bovine medicine. We’re looking forward to seeing them bring some of their new knowledge and skills back to the clinic!
While they were there, they also braved the rain and lightning to participate in the conference’s 5K Stampede, helping support scholarships for veterinary students. 🐄🏃‍♀️🌧️

And as an added bonus, they ran into their veterinary school classmate, Dr. Cassie, who is now teaching large animal surgery at Texas A&M! It’s always fun to reconnect with old classmates and see where their careers take them.

We’re proud of our doctors for continuing to learn, grow, and support the next generation of veterinarians!

Dental Care- a health topic often overlooked in pets!

Why does it matter?
🦷Dental disease can cause pain, bad breath, or difficulty eating!

Signs of dental problems:
🐶🐱Stinky breath, yellow/brown buildup, red or bleeding gums, and not wanting to eat.

Prevention:
🪥Regular brushing with PET SAFE toothpaste, dental chews/toys, and routine venterinary dental exams.

Professional Cleanings:
🩺Some dental disease cases can occur under the gumline and it is important for those pets to have a professional cleaning done.

❤️ Some pets will continue eating and acting normal even when their mouths hurt, so it is important to be vigilant when regarding your pets health!

📅 We encourage owners to contact the clinic if they have any concerns with their pets oral or overall health! 701-349-3237
