Dr. Erin and Dr. Kayla traveled to Minneapolis this week to attend the annual conference of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, where they spent the past few days gaining valuable continuing education in bovine medicine. We’re looking forward to seeing them bring some of their new knowledge and skills back to the clinic!
While they were there, they also braved the rain and lightning to participate in the conference’s 5K Stampede, helping support scholarships for veterinary students. 🐄🏃‍♀️🌧️

And as an added bonus, they ran into their veterinary school classmate, Dr. Cassie, who is now teaching large animal surgery at Texas A&M! It’s always fun to reconnect with old classmates and see where their careers take them.

We’re proud of our doctors for continuing to learn, grow, and support the next generation of veterinarians!

Dental Care- a health topic often overlooked in pets!

Why does it matter?
🦷Dental disease can cause pain, bad breath, or difficulty eating!

Signs of dental problems:
🐶🐱Stinky breath, yellow/brown buildup, red or bleeding gums, and not wanting to eat.

Prevention:
🪥Regular brushing with PET SAFE toothpaste, dental chews/toys, and routine venterinary dental exams.

Professional Cleanings:
🩺Some dental disease cases can occur under the gumline and it is important for those pets to have a professional cleaning done.

❤️ Some pets will continue eating and acting normal even when their mouths hurt, so it is important to be vigilant when regarding your pets health!
