Libby is on my mind today. I've been away for a while and visited Libby and the other kitties yesterday. Libby displayed a warm and loving 'welcome back'. She sat in my lap and snuggled and kissed me tenderly. If you're looking for a loyal and snuggly lap cat, she definitely is. She would like to be the queen of your heart ❤️. Don't miss out on such a sweet kitty. She would prefer a home with no dogs, with peace and quiet.

Hi, my name is Tallie and I found my way to Windmill Animal Rescue last year with my mama, Fontana and my sister, Belle. I am really shy and would do best in a house without young children and dogs. I get along with other cats. I'm currently looking for a foster home. Will you be my new foster? Maybe you would like to foster my sister, Belle as well?

Please fill out an application here: https://windmillanimalrescue.com/cat-foster/

Fostering a cat can be surprisingly meaningful—not just for the animal, but for you too. Here’s why people often choose to do it:

1. You’re literally saving lives
Shelters often run out of space. When you foster, you free up a spot so another cat can be rescued instead of turned away or euthanized.

2. You help cats become adoptable
Some cats are shy, stressed, or too young to be adopted right away. A home environment helps them learn to trust people, adjust to routines, and show their true personality.

3. It’s flexible and temporary
Unlike adoption, fostering isn’t forever, which makes it great if you’re not ready for a long-term pet.

4. You get joy without long-term commitment
You still get companionship, cuddles, and entertainment—without the lifetime responsibility or costs (many shelters cover food and vet care).

5. It’s great for first-time pet owners
Fostering lets you “test out” having a cat and learn about their needs before deciding to adopt.

6. You can specialize your impact
You might foster kittens, senior cats, or cats recovering from illness—each type really needs extra care and has a big payoff.

7. It feels genuinely rewarding
Watching a scared or sick cat grow into a confident, happy pet—and then go to a loving home—is incredibly satisfying.

If you’re even slightly considering it, a good next step is reaching out to Windmill Animal Rescue. Email us at [email protected] or send us a message through Facebook. You can also apply here: https://windmillanimalrescue.com/cat-foster/
