Thanks to all of YOU, our Chicken BBQ fundraiser was a sellout! We are so grateful to everyone who adjusted their plans, came out later in the day, picked up a dinner, made a donation and helped turn a stormy start into a successful day for RCHS.
And it took an AMAZING crew to make it happen! 🙌
🔥 Our friends from Ascend, Chris, Niles and Ivy, kept the grills going, while Heather and Jenna helped bag dinners.
🍗 Theresa and Kelley packed the meals, Katy kept the orders coming & the money collected, and Steve kept everything moving with traffic control.
🐾 Julie, the D&E Men’s Lacrosse players and students from Elkins Mountain School brought the energy, shaking signs and donation buckets and helping us get the attention of everyone passing by!
🐶🐱 And over in the park, Wendy, Nancy, Sonia, Jerry, Lena, and Glenda spent the afternoon with our adoptable animals, giving everyone a chance to meet some of the pets your support directly helps.
We also thank the Elkins Walmart and Kingsford for donating toward the BBQ and for the First Baptist Church allowing us to use their parking lot. Support like this from our community partners helps make fundraisers like this possible!
Yesterday was a perfect example of what happens when a community comes together for its animals. We are incredibly grateful for every single person who helped us make the day a success. 🐾 Mother Nature tried her best, but RCHS has some pretty amazing friends. ❤️
