Things I wish I knew as a first-time raw feeder. 🐶⬇️

1. It is nowhere near as messy or intimidating as people make it out to be once you establish a clean prep routine.

2. A 14 lb bag actually fits easily in a standard kitchen freezer without needing a dedicated deep freezer.

3. You do not have to go completely all-or-nothing, because adding fresh raw food to a kibble base still offers massive benefits.

4. The natural energy boost and playfulness showed up almost immediately once the switch was made.

5. The reduction in daily shedding and the overall softness of their coat took me completely by surprise.

6. Smaller, firmer, and practically odorless backyard cleanups make daily scoop duty dramatically easier.

Large breed puppies have big paws to grow into, and how they grow matters just as much as how fast! 🐾 See our tips below for what to look for and feed your big baby! 🐶🥣✨

🐾 Look for the Label: Flip the bag over. Make sure it says for all life stages, including large breed puppy growth. (AAFCO Statement: Make sure the bag explicitly reads "for All Life Stages including the growth of large-size dogs.)

🐾 Bone & Joint Safety: Big pups grow too fast for regular food. A careful calcium balance keeps growing bones strong and protected.

🐾 Brain & Eye Support: Real, fresh food protects delicate DHA, an essential healthy fat that supports sharp brains and good vision.

🐾 Ligament Strength: Key minerals from real ingredients like green-lipped mussels help support developing joints and ligaments.

Don't forget we have a team in store ready to help you! 👋

If your dog is constantly licking their paws after outdoor playtime, fall allergens may be to blame. 🍂🐾

Fall brings an uptick in mold spores and ragweed that cling to paws, causing redness, itchiness, and irritation. Simple post-walk routines paired with healthy fats in their diet can help soothe the itch and protect sensitive paws all season long. 🌿✨

There’s no reason frozen or freeze-dried raw food can’t be fed alongside kibble or canned diets. In fact, many pet parents successfully mix raw with other types of food! While raw food does digest at a different rate, your pet’s body is smart. Their digestive enzymes, bile, and gut bacteria adapt quickly to changes in their environment. So feel free to ease into raw feeding without any guilt. Even one raw meal a day or a freeze-dried raw topper can support digestion, improve skin and coat health, and add variety that your pet will love. 🥩✨🐕
