Here’s Alyssa! Her smile already says everything you need to know about how amazing she is, but I’ll tell you anyways. Alyssa is one of our rooming techs who knows her stuff. Doctors love when they have her working with them! Her efficiency makes her a go to trainer for the new rooming techs. There is one sad thing, we won’t have Alyssa forever. She is pursuing her dream of becoming a speech and language pathologist. We cherish our time with her and are incredibly proud of all that she’s accomplished. She’ll always be part of the FRPH family. Great news, she’s still go a little ways to go so we get to enjoy her presence for a while longer. Happy Tech Week Alyssa!

Meet our newest technician. Courtney, RVT just joined our team! In the two days she has been here she has proven herself quite the dental master… Dirty and diseased teeth hate to see her coming. She brings such an amazing and experienced skillset along with her. She fits in so perfectly and we’re so happy she joined our team. As we wrap up celebrating National Vet Tech Appreciation Week here at Franklin Ranch, I just wanted to hop on and give a public thanks to every person this celebration applies to. I’d like to introduce myself… my name is Tiffany. I am the very proud practice manager for FRPH and I’m here to brag about our technicians. While I don’t come out from behind the scenes much (hence the kitten over my face picture), I am willing to do so and shout from the rooftops, “Franklin Ranch has the BEST technicians!”. Meet Michelle! This lady is a mighty fine tech, then you add on her dazzling personality and you have what most would call, “the whole package”. Not only will she help you, she’ll be so kind, make you laugh and then she’ll laugh. That’s when the hospital spirit is immediately elevated to a joyful atmosphere. Allow me to introduce you to Steph. She is an RVT, lover of all animals, great human and mother of tarantulas! Yes, as in the big fuzzy spiders! Steph is very patient and uses her skills in our surgery department, in treatment and in rooms! Another Jack of all trades, we have a lot of them here. Steph’s patience and kindness could calm a nervous client in seconds just with her listening, empathy and knowledge. Time to meet more techs! Triston came to us with quite a bit of emergency experience and loves to tech new techs anything to help expand their skillset. If you are a new tech, you could really earn a lot from this guy. He can be seen in many areas of the hospital lending a hand and his knowledge with a smile. As we post on and on about our techs, you might be thinking, “how many more awesome techs do they have?” So many!!! Here’s another! Linda!!! She is such an amazing example of what it means to be a great vet tech and leader. Linda is another of our lead techs that is responsible for making sure that we can see as many patients as possible while maintaining our excellent standard of patient care. The lead techs have big decisions to make which isn’t easy, but we appreciate her hard work day in and day out. She is incredibly knowledgeable and organized. Linda’s love for animals and their well being is too great to measure! Linda is cool as a cucumber, unless you mess with her tidy bandage boxes!!! Happy Vet Tech Week Linda. A man of few words who delivers excellent client and patient care. Have you ever seen a juggler at the circus? Well, Tzander is the juggler of FRPH. As daylight decreases and routines change, some cats may nap more, while others become restless or look for extra ways to burn energy. A few simple enrichment activities can help keep them mentally stimulated and physically active all season long.

Try adding a cozy window perch for bird watching, scheduling a short interactive play session each day, or introducing a puzzle feeder to make mealtime more engaging. Small changes can make a big difference in your cat's overall well-being.

In the interest of showing you the other side of what our technicians are capable of, I’d like to introduce you to Humble. Now, I know what you’re thinking 🤔 she doesn’t really look like she has what it takes to be a vet tech. Mainly for the fact that she’s a dog and not human. However, her handler/mama/vet tech is Beth. Beth has dedicated her life to veterinary medicine AND training dogs like Humble who will one day be a guide dog for the blind. One could argue that is one of the most selfless things a person could do with their time. Beth won’t have Humble with her forever, but this amazing girl will always be a part of FRPH. Her training is going quite well if you couldn’t gather by the dropped leash. Happy tech week Beth and Humble.
