Pitties.Love.Peace is an all-volunteer 501c(3), foster-based organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of pit bull and bully breed mix dogs and puppies. It is our mission to save those neglected, suffering, or simply unwanted and place them into loving, forever homes. Many dogs come to us with serious medical needs; others simply needing love for the first time in their lives. We als

o serve as advocates for the dogs we love so much. Our volunteers work tirelessly to educate the public on the truths and myths of pit bull type dogs and the importance of responsible dog ownership. As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of supporters to provide our dogs with everything they need on their journey to happily ever after. This includes routine veterinary care, such as spay and neuter surgeries, as well as life-saving emergency medical care, treatment by specialists, and complex surgeries. Through your generosity, we can save countless dogs every year and help those who need us most.

It’s National Rescue Dog Day! 🥳

In honor, we are highlighting Adoptable Curry and how far he has come since his rescue. In December, Curry arrived at one of our shelter partners as an emaciated stray weighing less than 10lbs at around 11 weeks old. We pulled him from the shelter and began a refeeding regimen to gradually increase his intake and achieve an appropriate weight. Now, at around 8 months old, he is up to a healthy 55lbs and ready to get on with the rest of his life. He just needs a family to call his own. Curry’s ideal household has at least one other playful but tolerant dog to burn off some of his adolescent energy with. He also currently lives with cats, but does engage, so dog-savvy felines are best. If you’d like an adorable reason to celebrate Rescue Dog Day next year, perhaps Curry could be your ‘why.’ 😉

Belated Happy Tails…

Inky joined us in April of 2025 from a local shelter where she had turned up as a stray covered in scars. She was slightly timid and still learning her manners, but was very sweet. We received an application looking to add a new family member to their pack to keep their other dog company. Inky met their other dog and everything went well. She joined their family in July of last year and has made herself right at home. Live it up, sweet girl!

Happy tails for your hump day… way overdue 🫣

Guapo joined us in April of 2025 as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. He came to us from a loving family, but with a history of typical frenchie medical issues and would be looking for an experienced adopter to spend the rest of his days with. Luckily, his foster mom took him to work with her one day and he met one of her coworkers who immediately FaceTimed her husband to show Guapo off. When he became available, they submitted an application and it was smooth sailing from there. Guapo joined his new family (complete with Frenchie sister) in June of last year and we’re sure he is living his best life now.

Congratulations, Guapo! ❤️🐾
