It is with great honor that I finally get to announce the soft launch of our new non-profit The Rocky Foundation 🐾🧡

Inspired by Rocky The Bat Dog and the positive impact he’s made on our community through doing his favorite job.
We’ve been blown away by the support of his fans and wanted a way to not only give back to the community, but empower other dogs and owners alike to find themselves working in the community just like us.

We have two main goals as a foundation: to bridge the gap between our overflowing shelters and the need for therapy dogs amongst our community. The foundation with provide not only financial aid to train pre approved adoptable dogs to get therapy certified but also use our connection in the community to help place them somewhere in need of their services.
We’re hoping this not only helps clear our shelters but helps improve mental health across the tri cities.
Our second goal is to sponsor a fully trained service dog for a person with a disability in need.
Did you know that 61 MILLION Americans have disabilities and only 1% of them are teamed with a service dog?!
The cost for a properly trained, health and temperament tested service dog ranges anywhere from 10,000-20,000$
There is not a lot of organizations or government funding that helps with this cost even though the benefits for some of these people with disabilities is astronomical; so we’d like to help change that.

We will be doing our official ribbon cutting ceremony during intermission at the next Fridays After Five in Kings Commons.
We encourage you to come support us.

We will have t shirts made by our partners at Boomtown and Co and bracelets for sale- all proceeds going to the foundation.
You can also support us by purchasing Rocky merch at Johnson City Doughboys games.

We look forward to giving back to this wonderful community by helping dogs get jobs! 🧡🖤🧡
