We are a private, non-profit 501(c)3 horse rescue. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses. At Terolyn Horse Rescue, inc.

our mission is to help at-risk horses that have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Many of the horses we rescue have been sent through the livestock auctions. We give them a home where they are loved and cared for until we can find them suitable forever homes. Those who wish to adopt these horses are carefully screened prior to placement. We work tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of th

e animals we rescue. We were founded in 2015 for the purpose of helping as many horses as possible through tax-deductible donations and with the help of our volunteers. We were honored to have been selected for a 7Everyday Hero Award from Denver's Channel 7 in 2016 and we have been named a Top Rated Rescue on Guidestar. Tuesday was farrier day, a big day for our babies and Ally!

Our farrier came out to work on the foals on our barn side, and Allegra (Ally) got her very first trim! 🥹

We’ve been working hard with the babies to teach them to pick up their feet, but it can be a little more challenging when their moms came to us unhandled. Ally has been the hardest to reach, which is understandable. She’s only 4 years old and is understandably very protective of her foal.

A huge thank-you to all of our amazing volunteers, and especially Lisa Heacock, a local riding instructor who generously volunteers her time and is so wonderful at working with our moms and babies. And, of course, a big thank-you to our farrier, Ryan, for always being so kind and patient with our horses.

It truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful for everyone who helps our horses along the way! 🐴💕

Our sweet little Harley and her mama, Quinn, had a big day yesterday!

Harley had a small hernia repair surgery, and we’re so happy to have that taken care of so she can be one step closer to finding her forever home.

A huge thank-you to Dr. Bowen and her amazing techs at Iron Horse Equine for taking such wonderful care of our little girl and getting her all fixed up.

Harley is back home with her mama and doing pretty well. She’s on stall rest, getting lots of love, and being watched closely as she heals.

We’re so thankful she’s doing well and hoping for a smooth, speedy recovery. Before we know it, this happy little girl will be back to her playful self and ready for her next chapter. ❤️

🐴SAVE THE DATE!🐴

October 10 will be our annual tack sale and fundraiser! This year will benefit our very special little guy, Riff, who needs help with a surgery to correct a crooked leg.

We have English and Western saddles, bridles, halters, and blankets in addition to lots of other gently used items. We will also have a silent auction.

Make a plan to come visit, meet our horses, and make a difference for Riff! We can’t wait to see you!

Jax has officially hit the foster-home jackpot! 💗

Jax has found the perfect long term foster home with our friend and adopter, Krista Daughenbaugh. Krista has an older gelding she adopted from us named Larry and a younger, playful gelding named Rumi.

Krista needed another horse so when she takes Larry or Rumi out on a trail ride, the other one isn’t left home alone. We knew Jax would be the perfect fit as a gentle companion for Larry and a playmate for Rumi.

The three of them are getting along great and Jax is getting all the love and attention he deserves!

We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Jax and his friends!💗

We want to say a HUGE thank you to our friends, Bri and Kennen with The Jasper Project, and to Bri’s mom, Marianne Graf.

The Jasper Project is an essential nonprofit that helps horse owners with end-of-life expenses when the hardest decision needs to be made. They have helped us with the financial expenses for many of our beloved horses.

When Bri heard that, without Riff’s surgery on his crooked leg, we might be facing one of those most difficult goodbyes, she immediately wanted to help us avoid that. She hoped that by contributing to some of the surgery expenses, she could help give Riff the chance at a long, happy life this young foal deserves.

Yesterday Bri and Kennen came out to meet Riff and his mom, Cadence, and brought us a $4,100 check towards Riff’s life-changing surgery. To say we are blown away by their kindness and generosity is an understatement.

We are truly blessed to have so many amazing people standing alongside us to offer this sweet little guy his best chance at a long, happy life. Thank you to Bri, Kennen, Marianne, and The Jasper Project, for making a difference!
