LIMITED Boarding Openings at Silver Springs

🐴 Priority for clients also wanting to use our Lesson and Training services.

🐴 Stall Board with Group Turnout is $510/month. This includes hay, grain, shavings and daily stall cleaning, blanketing in cooler months and fly spray and fly masks in warmer months.

🐴 Facility amenities include heated barn, heated indoor arena, all stalls have rubber mats and automatic waterers.

Did you know that there is a 4-H club that meets at Silver Springs? Children in Kindergarten through Freshmen in College can join 4-H. The club that meets at the barn is Acorn Acres, which is an Olmsted County club. You do not have to live in Olmsted County to join an Olmsted County 4-H club. Many of our members do Horse Project, but we also have members who do Dog Project, other livestock projects and static projects including Fine Art, Creative Writing and Sewing. Our first meeting for the '23-'24 school year is this Sunday at 5:00.

Kam and Zack as well as Abby and Rodney showed at the 2023 WSCA Championship Horse Show this week. It was the first time for both of these riders. Kam did in excellent job in Pony Western Pleasure and Pony Horsemanship, placing Fifth in each of those classes. Abby showed in the large, competitive Senior age group classes earning placings on individual judge's cards in Ranch Pleasure and Ranch Riding. They both enjoyed stabling with a large group of friends that are all Minnesota Pinto Horse Association members!

Helmets should be replaced every 3-5 years as well as after any fall or impact. Take good care of your helmet! Keep it in a helmet bag or backpack and don't leave it in a hot car.

I really want to emphasize keeping it in a helmet bag or backpack. All too often when kids carry their helmets they swing then around by the straps and I have to readjust the straps at every single lesson for that child. Also if you drop your helmet on the cement you should really think about replacing it!

We had a great time at the final Minnesota Pinto Horse Association show of the season!

S'More Hot Chocolate and Alena were Reserve Champion Youth Solid and Mason was Champion Amateur Solid with Joline.

Pua Heihei and Kambrynn had wins in 10 & under Walk/Trot Trail, Western Showmanship and Western Pleasure, and a Grand Champion in S/H Pony Halter.

Hotrod It If U Got It and Abby had placed first Youth Novice English Equitation with a good showing in the rest of her classes to finish out her Youth career. She is off to college at SCSU, but a bonus to that was being the 2023 Minnesota Pinto Youth Scholarship Recipient.

BMQ The Last Dance and Amber had their show ring debut in Showmanship and Halter classes, with her son Corwyn also showing Jazz in Leadline. Renae showed Jazz under saddle to a first in Open Solid English Pleasure.
