I am very grateful to the Glider community for establishing me with a breeding mentor all those years ago. I enjoyed learning about genetics and have loved caring for joeys. I got into the breeding hobby to be one additional place to turn in contrast to the backyard breeders that are so careless. One thing I have learned over the years is that adopters who want to do things the right way for these babies typically go to breeders who have been doing it for a few decades instead of a few years. Even when I dropped my prices to no profit, charging only the cost of the neuter, the joeys were still arriving faster than I could find homes. As much as I loved each one of them, I only have so much room and of course this required new cages to separate girls from their dad and cost me not only extra cages but several neuters a year for the boys that were produced to keep them with their sisters.
It is for these reasons that I have decided to neuter my fathers and stop breeding. I do plan to continue to be a positive resource in the glider community though so I will continue this page. If someone is unable to keep their gliders, I will be happy to discuss with them their options, either ways to help them keep their gliders, a surrender if I have room (this way I can monitor how fast they arrive, unlike the breeding) so I can find them a new home, or a referral to a rescue that does have room for example. I will continue to clip nails. I do not have a set price as profit was never my reason for entering this hobby but to encourage safety and knowledge in the glider community instead. I clip nails for tips. They do not need to be monetary, a favor or donation of TPG related food perhaps. If you need help finding a mentor, vet, etc. If you just have questions or need boarding. I can still be your resource. I will still be here for your glider needs as I transition from breeding to rescue, boarding, services, etc.
