Today was another huge session for Corduroy, an OTTB mare that had some pretty big head trauma from earlier in her life we have been helping her work through.

She had a bit of a setback in her progress from a head shakers episode that lasted several days. Her guardian, has done an amazing job helping her navigate these episodes. But this one was particularly bad and did quite a number on her body.

Corduroy released another deep trauma pattern today, but really felt called to have her mom help her through it. This was at the end of the session once I was able to find and release the pattern. She laid down and immediately put her head in Sarah’s lap, which then turned into a complete reset nap for a good 10 minutes.

Corduroy, being a Fire element, really releases through a heart-centered connection with Sarah. It was amazing to watch how their connection and bond is helping heal Corduroy’s body, mind, and spirit.

This is why I do what I do. Healing on a quantum level, with a heart-focused practice.

Thank you tremendously Sarah for trusting Corduroy‘s healing with me. The bond you two have brings me to tears, and she is so lucky to have you. ❤️

I am SO EXCITED to announce that I will be part of a new clinic series, Connection Before Correction. Our inaugural event will be 9/26 and 9/27.

Partnering with and .leblanc , this two-day educational event will explore the interconnectedness of biomechanics, postural alignment, and connection for both the horse and rider.

This is such a unique opportunity as:
- you will get two riding lessons (one being an evaluation) with Suzanne
- your horse will be receiving bodywork from Daniela and I
- you as a rider will also be receiving bodywork from Daniela and I

This event will be jammed packed with information on connection, communication, biomechanics, and bodywork. We will be discussing what we see in the bodies of both the horse and rider before the clinic and after to see what changes occurred and how it impacts their health and riding.

It is a wonderful educational opportunity for auditors as well!

It is so important as a Practitioner to take some time for self-care and realignment! I make sure to have a monthly session with my mentor .leblanc, who helps ensure I release anything that does not serve me and work through my own healing journey.

Merlin, her kitten, was her adorable assistant today during my session. I was letting go of a lot in the right side of my body, and it was getting stuck in my right foot. The sensations I was feeling were cramping and a constriction. Merlin helped me release this with his energy and by licking the blockages away 🖤

My dear friend, mentor, and business partner .leblanc did a bodywork session on Denali today. As a professional bodyworker, it is so important to have other professionals offer input and insight into my own personal horse. I always learn so much! Thank you Daniela for helping Denali feel his best!

When your horse requests a mini craniosacral session while long lining, you oblige! I love seeing how much Denali has started tuning into his own body, asking for help releasing tension, and knowing when his flow of energy needs to be rebalanced.

2025 was such a huge growth year for Valkyrie Equine Bodywork, and I am humbled and grateful for all of my clients who allow me to help facilitate their horse’s healing, as well as their own. I am very excited for some new opportunities in the coming year, including working toward Reiki Master attunement.
