Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is a meaningful occasion dedicated to honoring the lives of pets who have passed away. It is inspired by the popular poem that envisions a peaceful place where beloved pets wait joyfully to be reunited with their owners.

The day allows pet owners to reflect on the unconditional love and companionship of their pets, share memories, and find comfort in a supportive community. Ways to observe this day include: posting photos, videos, or stories of your pet; lighting a candle, plant a tree, or make a scrapbook in honor of your pet; spending quiet time remembering your pet, revisiting favorite memories, or writing a letter to your departed companion; donate to a local rescue organization in honor of your pet.

This special day is a day to remember the pets we've loved and cherished.

R.I.P. SWEET MAMAS...
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved forever foster, Mamas, has crossed the rainbow bridge. She endured a difficult life on the side of a hill without a home, but kind neighbors began feeding her, and over time she learned to trust them. Thanks to the dedication of Terri Schneider and her friends, Mamas was welcomed into our care, finally finding a place to call home. Our hearts ache as we remember her, and she will be deeply missed.

R.I.P. Mamas. We love you.

This Saturday, August 29th, join us at the Dog Days of Summer Pop-Up Market and Dog Adoption Event! Enjoy local vendors, food trucks, and dog adoptions hosted by Huckleberry Hound Dog Rescue, Desert Oasis Rescue, and Finding Meadows Dog Rescue. Daisy Contreras will also be there with some of her amazing dogs and will be accepting much-needed donations, such as dog food, for her rescue. This is a pet- and family-friendly event, so bring the whole family!

LITTLE CINNABON...
Everyone, meet Canelo, our little Cinnabon! He is a 1-year-old male small spaniel mix who was one of many strays fending for themselves in Mexico. Thanks to Daisy Contreras, he was rescued and brought to us. Canelo is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog who gets along well with other dogs and seems comfortable around cats. He has also developed a love for "pup cups"—just one was enough to win him over! Canelo comes neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
