🦀👀 Hermit Crab Fun Fact!

Those cute little “antennae” aren’t just there to make them look adorable! 😍

Hermit crabs actually have TWO sets of feelers! Their shorter pair helps them smell, taste, and keep their balance, while their longer pair works like tiny sensors, helping them feel their way around and detect textures, obstacles, and vibrations. 🦀✨

Basically… they’ve got built-in tiny feeler sticks! 😂

🐾 Meet the Pets Monday! 🐾

Meet Archer, Jenny’s adorable pup! 🐶❤️

Archer joined the family in November 2025, and he’s already figured out the best way to get attention. His favorite treat? 🌭 Hot dogs, of course!

But Archer has a very special way of showing his love. 🥰 He loves to sit in your lap with his back to you, lean his head completely upside down, and give you Spider-Man kisses! 🕷️💋😂

Because apparently, regular dog kisses just aren’t nearly dramatic enough!

Our beautiful Pied Cockatiel is clearly ready for her close-up… and honestly, we’re not going to argue! 😂

🧐 Did you know? Pied cockatiels have a genetic mutation that causes patches of normal coloration to be replaced with lighter feathers. Because the pattern can vary so much, every Pied Cockatiel has its own unique look! 💛

🌟 Apparently, this one came with a little extra star quality. 😍

🐠 Fish Fact Friday! 🐠

Meet the Loachata Botia! 🖤🤍 Also known as the Yoyo Loach, these energetic little bottom-dwellers are full of personality!

✨ Fun Facts:
🐟 They get their name from the “YOYO” pattern that develops along their bodies.
🦐 They love hunting for small foods and are especially helpful for keeping pest snails under control.
👀 They’re curious, active fish that love exploring every nook and cranny of their aquarium.
🏊‍♀️ Loachata Botias are social and generally do best when kept with other loaches of their kind.
📏 They can grow to around 5–6 inches as adults.

With their goofy personalities, unique markings, and constant activity, these guys are a fun addition to the right community aquarium! 💙

🐹✨ NEW GIRLS HAVE ARRIVED! ✨🐹

Our newest group of female guinea pigs has officially joined the Noah’s Ark family—and they’re already sticking together! 💕 And yes, there’s even a Werewolf guinea pig in this adorable little cuddle pile! 🐺🐹

They’re settling in, getting to know each other, and soaking up all the cozy guinea pig vibes. 🥰 They won’t be ready to leave for their new homes until Saturday, but you’re welcome to stop in and meet them while they get settled!

🐹💕 We also have Vitamin C–enriched guinea pig food available by the pound—the same food our guinea pigs are raised on!

Meet Harold, Lora’s Colombian Red Tegu! 🦎❤️

Lora brought Harold home from an expo in Tinley Park about 2½ years ago, when he was just a juvenile. Now he’s grown into quite the personality! 😍

Harold absolutely LOVES his showers 🚿🦎… and apparently has a special appreciation for toes! 😂🦶

From tiny juvenile to big personality, Harold sounds like one spoiled tegu!

🐠 Fish Fact Friday! 🐠
✨ GloFish® Gouramis ✨

Talk about bringing some color to the aquarium! 🌈 These eye-catching gouramis have been specially bred to display vibrant fluorescent colors that really pop under aquarium lighting. 💚💙💜

But they're more than just a pretty face! Gouramis are labyrinth fish, meaning they can breathe atmospheric air using a special organ called the labyrinth organ. They’re also known for their curious personalities and graceful swimming.

💡 Fun Fact: Gouramis have modified pelvic fins that look almost like tiny feelers! They use them to explore and sense their surroundings. 👀

A little color + a lot of personality = one seriously fun fish! 🐟✨
